How reputable this website? I have never used it before. Do they give you the promised price as long as your phons are in good conditions?

If your phone is in the condition you say it is, they’ll honour it - same with any other site.

You don’t have to accept their counter offer either, and they’ll just send your phone back to you FoC.

I've got a 7 at the moment, so skipped the previous couple of updates, am tempted to get the XS, don't really fancy getting the super sized version.

Am actually quite tempted to look into their upgrade scheme, seemingly they'll only offer £170 for my current phone so that is a bit naff, but the monthly fee and regular upgrade option + apple care etc.. look like quite a reasonable offer.

Amazing... they know that the phone is almost the exact same dimensions as the Plus phones which have been around for years now right? In fact I think it’s shorter by like a mm if memory serves me right. Tabloids at their finest.

Also, if you settle the agreement within 20 months you will get a separate pro-rata refund on the un-used AppleCare+. It is completely flexible and you are not locked in at all.

Are you sure about this? I paid off my IPhone 7 plan 4-5 months early and didn’t unless Barclays automatically take it off the final payment but I am pretty sure I just paid it online

Thanks, do you know if need to include chargers, cables and headphones ?
No. Sites like mazuma just want the phone. You don’t need to send the box or any accessories.

Edit. As with any phone make sure it’s totally wiped etc otherwise they’ll just send it back to you.

Looks like I've left it too late to order from Very.co.uk for delivery next Monday unfortunately...

However, I have seen you can pre-order it from the world of computers for delivery this Friday and they offer 0% for 12 months... Very tempted, but have never used them before for finance...

Embargo lifted

Really hoping this years models don’t scratch as easily as last year, my 7 screen scratches like no tomorrow and verge said the same about last years X.

Ah, that's a good point - I know the unused AppleCare+ is refunded - maybe the rebate is built into the final settlement figure - that would make sense and be more straightforward than doing it separately. I'm going to call Barclays to settle my current agreement early as I want to keep my iPhone X this year to give to my Mum - she has been using an old Nexus 5 for the last 3-4 years so it will be a nice change for her. I will report back on how the unused AppleCare+ is refunded.

I had my previous iPhone 7 Plus on the upgrade programme. When I went to the Apple Store last year to upgrade to my current iPhone X, I took the 7 Plus along to hand in - expecting the sales assistant to accept it and clear the outstanding amount on the Barclays agreement. Interestingly he said they could do that.. or if I prefer - pay me £100 more than the settlement figure to settle the agreement myself. So I accepted and they just setup a new agreement for the new iPhone. A few days later the settlement amount +£100 was paid into my bank account and I just called up Barclays and cleared the old agreement. Each year that you upgrade a new agreement is setup.

I guess it all depends on how well you look after your kit. My 7Plus doesn't have any marks on it and I don't use a case or screen protector.

I've never used a screen protector - just the usual Apple leather case - I always do my best to take care, e.g. I never put the phone in the same pocket as my keys etc. However, I still get the odd hairline surface scratch - only visible if you look carefully under bright light with the screen off - I've just come to accept it.

Anyway - they are saying this year the screen is tougher than ever - but don't they always say that?

I think I'm beginning to get buyers remorse before it even turns up. I'm going to try it for a week but if there's no real game changer I'll just return it and drop back to my 8 Plus. If I wasn't so heavily locked into the Apple ecosystem I'd be looking for a change now.
