I feel dirty that I’m in a queue

Are the Apple Genius Hype Beasts there making sure you're all shouting and screaming like little girls at an NSync concert so it's just like it is in the Apple promo vids? Or is it a bunch of middle aged dudes standing around awkwardly looking at their phones after the initial 'Alright mate?' to the guy in them after first arriving? :D

I didn’t even say hello to anyone in the queue. I am not a Apple guy despite loving the iPhone

Really hate the cult like status Apple has

Does anyone know yet what the situation is with the e-sim?

If I bought the XS though Virgin for example (use them for personal), could I buy an EE e-sim and transfer my work number over?

Are you at least going to walk out of the store with the box in your hands, raised above your head like a trophy so you can show to the world that you're so proud you managed to battle and survive an orderly que of 40 people to get a hold of a launch day device?!

Don't think e sim is ready yet?

Mine is two hours away apparently. Lot of high value shipments on those DPD vans this morning!

Watch has arrived, now sat charging and waiting for the phone to turn up. :)

DPD's tracking functionality now can't find my parcel, so I'm hoping that's it being loaded into the van and I'll get a map telling me I'm the first stop. #AndMonkeysMightFlyOutOfMyButt

I got out of the store, shoved the phone in my bag and rushed back to work haha. Brought my iPad to work so i could set it up quickly.

First impression. It's not nearly as unwieldy as some sites have made out

Just had a text from DPD - Delivery between 11:08 and 12:08. Not too shabby, as I was worried it'd be late in the evening and I wouldn't have time to play with it instead of doing work :D

eSIM is physically soldered to the circuit board in the phone, Virgin don’t support eSIM, only EE and Vodafone.

The round of applause after every single sentence during the reveal speech thingy was a tad annoying.

I can't stand the reveals mostly because of the crowd. The one that really annoyed me was when I got the iPhone 3G. It couldn't send MMS to begin with and when Apple finally added the feature the crowd went nuts as if it was a brand spanking new innovative feature.

I wonder how it works, can a user sign up for a "simless contract" as in non physical? When my phone arrives can I call EE and say "Hey look I have an eSIM phone can you activate it please?". What details you pass over - do eSIM phones have a build in sim card number?

I know that but like I said if I buy the phone through Virgin (and use their actual sim) do EE have a sim only plan which uses an e-sim? Or if do I have to buy the phone through EE to use them as the e-sim, etc

@uvarvu gets my point

I'd quite like to know as my company phones are all EE so if I can keep my Three SIM and transfer my work number to an EE eSIM that would be ideal.

I'd not expect anything for several months though

Kind of like when they added copy and paste :D
