Yeah, the phone to mac syncing is really slow sometimes. I'll get a message on my phone and it will take ages to appear on my mac, which is where I'll want to use a keyboard to reply. The first few times I thought it was broken...just turns out it takes a really long time to sync sometimes and there's no manual fetch option.

I just bought an IPhone Xs to replace my X, which already had an excellent camera. The Xs has noticeably more detail from my quick testing this evening. So I expect the difference from an 8 to be even more.
 
Anyone else got the Xs Max and the predictive text bubbles that are suggested are hidden under the keyboard in WhatsApp?
Reminds me of the UI not being quite right when the 6 Plus was released. Guess it will need a few weeks for updates etc to filter through.

Also find the home bar thing completely unnecessary. Why do you need a constant reminder that the home function is there by swiping up?
 
I had a look at the Max in a local Apple shop today. Although I said earlier that I'd probably keep my 7Plus for another year, I'm not so sure now. The size is perfect and that screen was gorgeous.
 
I went and had a look in the store today and thought the XS max/ XS looked amazing! I told myself before launch I would wait for the XR.

Obviously, i have not seen the XR so this makes it even harder!

I am coming from a Motorola G5 Plus. So either would be a big upgrade

Set up before bed last night. Ma gawd it’s glorious. And exactly like having a Plus in your hand that feels nicer and is all screen (I don’t have huge hands but it’s not a an issue at all, although I’ve turned Reachability on) - I’ve seen plenty of X’s over the last year but never spent any time playing with one so this is all quite new and fun.

TouchID feels so antiquated after using FaceID for just an hour or two - I’m already ready to ditch the home button on my iPad.
 
Well pleased with the leap from the 7+ to max.

Black leather case from Apple is nice but a little slippery.

Only bugbear with face id is I love the hide notifications until recognised feature but it means I can't read them when phone is on bedside table in the AM. Oh well :)
