Yeah, I had to clean and re clean the screen multiple times when prepping after I could see dust keep settling on it after seemingly magically appearing out of no where. I found when it came to peeling and applying the protector itself I made sure the sticky side was always face down so I didn't have to worry about at least one surface.

The trick is to fit them in the bathroom. Run the shower and get it nice and steamy to get the dust out of the air, set it settle for a few mins and apply the protector.

Yep, I did both of these things — still no joy.

It's as if peeling off the film from the protector creates a static force field that sucks in all of the dust!

I've got another two coming tomorrow so I'll try again…

I won't pretend like the 6s screen protectors that I fitted were perfect first time, but I usually got it on the second go. :o

Nope my hands are too small. But knew that would be the case having done 3 years on the plus. Worth the compromise for me.

There's always the left/right-justified keyboards, but I've found anything only worth a short reply I can dictate with voice to text on my watch. If I need to write anything beyond a line then it necessitates the use of both hands anyway, although I've actually got in the habit (because my best friend does it) of using the voice clips a lot and so not typing at all for longer replies, but I know that's not for some people, especially in public.

Have a hairdryer blowing in your direction? (I've never used a screen protector and we have a cat so I'd imagine it'd be an exercise in frustration).

Once the screen protector is on you’ll have the dust build up around the edges of the screen protector to enjoy. I’d rather have some light cosmetic scratches than a dust trap screen protector.

In the native apps yes there’s more info. Third party apps need updating so for now those show the same info as an X just zoomed.
Thanks :)

I’m actually now thinking the XR is the way to go. It will be fairly large, have better performance and a better display and camera than my 6S topped off by the best battery of all. It also has the sensible 128GB memory option and surprisingly the same front camera as the XS.

XR 128GB with Apple care for £950
XS Max 256GB with Apple care for £1450

Oh, my 2 cents on the screen protector option - try applying it outside.

What case is everyone using for their iPhone XS?

Mine is hopefully being delivered tomorrow, along with a screen protector, but I can't decide on what case I want :p

Jerry Rig Everything isn't holding back.

Interesting he notices the camera lense protector must be a saphire crystal composite, as it scratches more easily than pure saphire and just as easily as glass

Does anyone know if the 14 days return is still valid for those who joined a the iUP?

Every other iPhone I’ve had, including my wife’s phones, I’ve applied one screen protector first-time, no sweat.

This X, I’m now on my 4th since yesterday when I received the phone.

First one wasn’t aligned properly and was one of those ones with the notch cutouts. The second one I had in the pack of two fitted better but still wasnt perfect.

Bought the spigen one with the fitting template mentioned earlier in this thread and the first one sorted the alignment issue, but holy Christ the dust!!! First time I’ve ever suffered so much with layers of dust.

Applied the second one in the pack with better luck.

The spigen ones are really close to the phone’s edge and don’t have any cutouts, so no annoying dust catchment areas. I can’t even tell mine is on.

Anyone had any problems with the NatWest app and Face ID? PayPal lets me use it no problem but having installed the NatWest app it doesn’t even give me the choice. Tried reinstalling it. Very annoying!

Not with NatWest myself but my sister has an issue with it not working with her XS Max. It did work with her X previously so seems to be something that they need to update for the new phones for whatever reason.
