*** The official "I've put my tree up early" thread ***

Balls to this, i dont even think im going to bother digging mine out as theres far too much clutter about and im allergic to anything festive or fun this year!
Seriously though, who the hell puts em up this early? Next youll be telling us its still up at the end of January just so you can get your second dose of pootang!

I love christmas but at least wait until December!

OT...The missus want's a real tree this year, what's the best time to get one? Don't want it dying before the 25th ;)

Even if you paid me it wouldn’t go up in November its’ just far too early. Ours will go up around the second week of December.

When is Christmas this year?

Tree goes up 1 week maybe 2 weeks before Christmas and down the day after NYD otherwise it prolongs Christmas longer than it is already .. Now pass me my humbugs!!

IMO, you can't get at someone for putting their tree up early, unless it's like June or something lol. Putting the tree up gets people in the Christmas spirit, so why the hell shouldn't people put it up in November?

Christmas trees/decorations should go up no earlier than December 1st.

We usually put ours up mid december, and back down again on New years day.

Just finished mine. No big deal.

Doesn't make it very special if it lasts nearly 2 months....kinda pointless really.

People, e.g the OP need to get a serious grip. This infuriates me - it is NOVEMBER 38+ days and people have decorations up.

Go to John Lewis and have a look at some of them. It's not worth the hassle of a real one anymore.

I agree that some of the fake ones look great these days. Not to mention the fact that it'll last for ages and not shed crap all over your floor.

But I just don't feel "Christmassy" until I can come home to a living room with the smell of a real Christmas tree. It'd be like going through the whole period without watching a single Christmas film.
