Bought my real one and put it up this afternoon. The rest of the decorations will go up tomorrow. It really doesn't bother me if people think its too early, the joy of owning my own home means I don't have to care.

Partner wanted to put it up, and, being a head chef, i'm not likely to have any kind of life in december, being stuck in a busy kitchen from Wednesday till xmas eve, 9am till 10pm or later!

It's my mum's birthday on the 6th, so by tradition I'm not allowed to even think Christmas until her birthday is over.

Then after the 6th all my thinking goes towards the sweet baby Jesus. (Not in a weird way.)

Similar here. Missus' birthday is the 3rd, so I have an agreement with my daughter that we put the tree* up the following weekend.


*Yeah, we have two also. Putting them up isn't so bad, but taking them both down again is a ballache.
