***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Just to let you guys know that after a bit of pushing, Google have finally given me the solution that I've requested. RMA the phone as a 16GB model, they'll send out a 16GB model when it comes back in stock in a couple of weeks (for those of you who missed out, that's when you need to start looking again!), and return through TNT. In other words, exactly the same method that Apple use with their advanced CRU replacements (for those of you who have had replacement Macs and boxed iPhones).

No refund on postage, but that's fine, considering that they said they don't mind me using this phone anyway.

Very happy. Now I can use this gorgeous device properly!

Google will charge your card and take 2 months to refund the RMA if its anything like the Nexus 7 RMA i had to do, enjoy them telling your case is with a specialist and Specialist don't have phones .....

Is it a straight swap with the TNT guy? Or will you be without a phone for a while

Does any one know if the nexus handsets at CPW stores are unlocked units or locked to carrier as I am considering getting one on the 3 Network, all I need to know is if I am able to swap the SIM card when I go abroad even if it is with another local 3 SIM that is fine.

Just to confirm handsets are not available Sim Free at the moment but are unlocked even if you buy it on a certain contract (just like with most CPW phones)

We'll see. I have a few questions about warranty and the 21 day period (to avoid getting charged) which I'm going to ask now.

They send me a 16GB phone when they come back in, I send back the 8GB once I have received it. If I don't send it back, I get charged the full retail price of the 8GB phone. Virtually identical to Apple (who also use TNT), but with Google you have to book everything yourself. Google will reimburse you if there are any charges.

Found a dead pixel on this phone! Thank goodness I'm not keeping it :D

As for the bumper posts above me...I considered but don't really see the point. All they appear to do is cause damage at worst, or add a bit of bulk!

Supplied headphones have always been diabolical.

Suddenly people are missing having them on a heavily subsidized product?

The ones I got with my S3 have been some the best in ear headphones I've ever used so we'll agree to disagree on that.

Irrelevant of it being subsidised, most folk would come to expect a set of headphones to be supplied with a new phone in 2012.
