got the email as well.

Just rang them to cancel and they arent even interest over the phone , very poor indeed!

This is surely the worst ever launch of a product?

anyway guess ill wait for new stock of the 16GB in about 3 weeks

My worry now is after the nexus 7 initial quality issues it will go the other way. They focus on getting the first batch right so it looked like the lessons were learnt, then they'll rush the 2nd batch given the severe shortage and they'll be quality control problems!

They knew demand was going to be high and they obviously knew they didn't have much stock in the first place, so they should have limited it to one per customer.

They'd have been better-off partnering up with an established retailer that can handle this sort of demand and delay the launch a couple of weeks so stock could catch up. Although I guess by doing this all in-house, they're saving money. And a lot of it too, given how inefficient their service appears to be.
 
Same thing is happening to a lot people over at the avforums, seems like hardly any people are having their orders fulfilled. This has got to be one of the worse product launches in recent history. Probably won't even get one this year :(
 
I was in the group of not thinking I got one, as the orders seemed to error when going through Google wallet. Then found I had one successful at 08:25, but now also have the email about pre-order, 3 week wait... I did order a bumper at the same time. Frustrating - but I hope they sort their act out for the second round of stock and do prioritise the pre-orders.

Hold on, why the hell has it taken them the best part of three days to tell me they don't have enough stock to send mine out? Surely this kind of thing would be automated, right? Or do they use chimpanzees to count each order manually?

Nice, itll be here in 3 weeks!


Has anyone recieved their Bumper? If not i'm blaming that for my order being delayed!
 
well 8GB model cancled ill wait 3 weeks for a 16GB.

Anyone think Google should partner with Amazon for a product launch? They should just use amazons site so you know it will be done well.

So poor its not even funny and they will be giving no good will gestures to cancled orders
 
If I get that email I will cancel. No doubt there will be a 32GB one for the same price by christmas anyway.
