***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Just replied to the email:

Thank you for taking the **** and not letting me know this 2 days ago when I placed the order. People who placed the order after me have received their phone, it's because of the bloody bumper isn't it ?
Why on earth would you commit to something if you can't fulfill demand. Pathetic. I can't cancel it as I don't have any other options now do I. It's a hell lot more expensive elsewhere.

Thank you Google.

'Thank you for taking the **** and not letting me know this 2 days ago when I placed the order. People who placed the order after me have received their phone, surely a company the size of Google should be free from this magnitude of ineptitude?

Why on earth would you commit to something if you can't fulfil demand, how was I able to place an order for a product that you knew you didn't have in stock? Pathetic. I can't cancel it as I don't have any other options now, I've sold a perfectly serviceable Galaxy S2 to fund this purchase, and I'm using my old spare phone that I'm now stuck with until this enormous **** up on your part is rectified.

And you'll 'credit the shipping charges', oh wow, thank you for your generosity, the least I'd expect would be a free upgrade to the 16gb model I initially wanted but was unable to purchase due to another **** up at your end, i.e. the inability of your servers to process my purchase without timing out and throwing up errors!

Thank you Google.

Give apple their due, the phones and everything are locked in and i don't like that but their customer service is on the money!

To all those writing scathing emails, perhaps a mention of apples customer service beating theirs might bring the point home a little?

How hard can it be really.

1. Make it clear that their is going to be high demand and they may not fulfill all orders
2. Allow everyone to place an order (1 per person), and deal with them on a first come first server basis.
3. Make it clear that this will be the case, that people may need to wait some time and its up to them if they want to order.
4. Keep people up to date as to when they could expect their device.

Something like that? Surely it wouldn't be to hard?

You would have thought Google would have learnt after the Nexus 7 debacle?

People who pre-ordered first got shoved to the back of the queue and people who ordered on release got there tablet straight away. There system was so backlogged that they could only process recent orders first then work back to the pre-orders.

Google haven't got the proper systems or delivery infrastructure for releases of this scale. That is why I will never buy a flagship product direct from Google ever again after the Nexus 7 release.

Sorry to all those with the problems, hope you all get it sooner then 3 weeks...

Google somehow managed to balls this up worse then the Nexus 7 release, I think at this point they should outsource any future launches to some other retailer or someone who knows wtf they are doing...

Either way it has sort of stifled any discussion about the actual phone, almost feel guilty to post anything about it! :(
