***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Good build quality, but it rattles. These statements seem at odds with each other? :)

Yeah doesn't make quite sense, the phone feels good quality in hand but there is a ever so slight rattle, to be honest I probably would have never noticed or checked if I hadn't read somewhere else

Aslong as the rattle isn't coming from power/volume buttons then I wouldn't worry.

Mattey1 - How fast+smooth does the phone feel compared to the S2 on Para JB?

I was running my SII on PA too, it does feel smoother but not noticeably so in menus etc (SII was pretty damn smooth with PA) most visible difference so far is in Google Earth which is incredibly smooth, the smoothest I have seen in run on any phone in fact. Gallery scrolling is noticeably smoother as well.

I'm already really noticing the 2GB of ram though, it really does make a difference in app swapping or tab changing in Chrome.

Cheers - off to try Earth on my GNex and S3 :)

2GB RAM is soo:

Just noticed you haven't fully charged it to 100% m4rk84 (unless you turned it off earlier and your stats have just reset?)

Looks like there is.

Hmm good point... forgot I had it in the USB earlier this morning to transfer some photos to my computer... Ill update with a 100% to low tomorrow without any corruption.

However I must say the battery seems pretty good to me thus far since I have turned off Google backup+Now, the drain while idle was noticeably bad while these were turned on yesterday, perhaps there is something buggy with them in 4.2?

I say that as I left Now on with my SII and never noticed anywhere near the same drain while idle...

There isn't those little jitters you get sometimes like it almost missing frames especially when scrolling through the home screen, Mine would sometimes slow down in certain areas. Apps load a lot quicker than the S2 did though by far. The Play Store is also much more smoother!

Camera opens insanely quicker than the S2 did.

I wouldn't say there is a whole lot of difference just little bits here & there which are noticeable.

Ok thanks :)

Yeah I am thinking that the current software is still buggy and something is draining the battery as in theory this phone should have very good battery life (should be as good if not better than the S, XL and GS 3), no way it can be worse than the likes of the one X!

Got to love some S4 CPU goodness  ;) :p

What version of PA were you running on the S2?

Also aren't the integrated Nav buttons so much better than the S2's hard home button :)

Erm last known version was 2.52. As far as I can remember! Running dorimanx kernel 7.10.

The buttons are cool, But I am used to the hard button on the S2 I keep going to press the bottom xD I think I'll appreciate them more when I can mod them up with PA :)

Got mine delivered this evening. I thought I was going to have to go pick it up from the depot as I had a TNT card through the door as i was working until 3 but the nice driver came back for a second attempt at delivery on his way back to the depot.

Early impression is it's great :D

Just tried them on both - S3 is noticeably smoother than the GNex - but both are a far cry away for the buttery smooth 60fps.

If the N4 can make Earth run noticeably smoother than the S3 I'll be impressed :)

Earth hogs up 200MB RAM!

As you've probably gathered, I'd come to hate the S2 buttons compared to the Nexus :D

How often do you use Earth? Rather have a smoother Google maps experience.
