Now that you mention it... yes!
In fact the ear-piece speaker seems to be turned on at all times even when the phone should be 'sleeping'... surely that can't be healthy for the battery life?
It is VERY quiet, and it goes when I turn the screen off. Its not annoying, just odd and only audible if I put it next to my ear as if I were making a call.
@Chiz
Is there any particular reason you want the nexus 4?
If you're willing to pay that much you get the note II, one X+/XL, GS 3 LTE for £450-500.
One sold on Gumtree. Felt guilty when he collected. £475. Shameful

Are you sure yours turns off when you turn the screen off, because mine definitely reduces the volume to be even quieter but if I listen for long enough in a quiet enough place I can hear it is still on... :s
See, all those other phones you've mentioned I've got gripes with. I've got many issues with them all. Enough to stop me buying them.
Plus in my eyes, I think the Nexus 4 looks the nicest and the specs are decent... I could go on.. bla bla bla.
Just personal preference really mate![]()

One quick question...
Anyone got any idea of the quickest way for me to get a hold of a micro sim card on EE?
Both stores in town say they don't have any. If I buy a PAYG EE sim from CPW etc, will EE then be able to transfer my contract/number across to that sim?
orange use EE?
cant you upload contacts to a google account though if thats what you want?
Sorry, I have no idea what you mean...
I just want a micro sim tomorrow instead of waiting on EE sending me one in the post. One that I probably wouldn't receive until Tuesday.
