***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Photos taken of a screen with an unknown camera (possibly another phone) and viewed on another screen aren't really going to be representative of the actual screen quality. It's ok for screen comparisons but that's about it frankly. Not much reason to be put off

The screen has started to put me off one of these now that I have seen the shots.

Spoilt by my S2 I think.

I came from an S2 & I thought the same, But after having it since the 16th I'm actually enjoying the screen a lot more now. Everything is a lot more crisp, The colours aren't too bad really took some getting used to but I think they look alright now.

Certainly don't miss the S2 thats for sure.

Good to hear.

How different is the camera and audio?

Thanks :)

And as suspected I much prefer the over saturated colours :p The nexus 4 screen now looks washed out :p

Also quite surprised by those comparisons as I actually think the GS 3 has a cleaner look now i.e. sharper  Although personally I only really notice the higher res./ppi and RGB/pentile matrix on text and some icons.

The snow photo looks better on the nexus 4 though.

It would be interesting to see some photos like the above but with a X next to the nexus 4 instead.

Not that I know of. There might be a way if you root and flash a custom ROM though........

The main problem with photo comparisons is that it doesn't represent what it looks like in person. The GS3 definitely is oversaturated in comparison but two things that don't really come across in those pictures is how much less vibrant the screen is due to the lack of brightness and also how awful the gs3's whites are. In addition the nexus 4 is definitely the sharper screen despite those pictures.

I haven't been following this thread religiously so perhaps it's been mentioned, but I'm seeing a lot of reports of the glass back on the Nexus 4 cracking/scratching extremely easily, and this supposed 'fragility' is making me think the S3 might be a better long-term buy if I'm looking for a phone to last me another few years. Can any N4 owners here comment on how the glass back is holding up so far?

I've had it since Thursday last week. I can't see a single scratch or mark on the back, but I have been very mindful about where I put it down etc.
