***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

I can confirm a slight hiss (more like a buzz.. sort of like interference you hear through PC speakers when you turn them all the way up) from the speaker on JB 4.2.1. Only noticeable holding ear against the speaker. Not noticeable in a quiet room at all.

I'm very savvy. So much so I purchased and sold at a profit. Its not about paying over the odds. Its about paying a certain price for a certain item. And £100 is nothing to some to get the phone now. At this rate it will be mid Jan before people get a wiff.

Agreed, £100 over a hypothetical 2 year contract is a loaf of bread a week difference or a punet of blackberries.

I promised my youngest he could have my Note for xmas so if Google don't get their act sorted out I'm gona buy a Huawei G330 as my tide over fone till I get a 3 lte enabled decent fone half way through 13.

Whats the point in buying that phone for £100+ when with that £100 you could go out & get a N4?

As I said the N4/G330 are a tide over till I buy a, presumably, SGS4 LTE or Note2/3 LTE next year at which point the tide over becomes my spare.

This fone is being bought so I can honour my Xmas promise otherwise I would keep the Note as tide over and subsequent spare, doing the xmas deal is like selling my Note for £250 I reckon the G330 will be £140/150 so n easy £100 profit possibly £150, my preferred 2nd fone would be the N4.

Ah I see!

My bad :D

As someone pointed out CPW don't do refunds on phones. But what if you haven't even picked it up yet? Their website gives instructions for either pre-dispatch or received, but nothing for that middle period (I'm having mine delivered to store).

If you ordered one online you can get a full refund in store, DSR.

If you ordered one from within the store you can't get a refund off it.

Just seems an odd process.

Effectively I still want it but I need the guy to split the payment now. In a normal world I'd just explain that and they'd refund it in part/full and then I'd pay the rest there and then, walk out and everyone would have a lovely day. However I'm expecting the chap to just do a "computer says no" to me, so was wondering what I can come back at him with.

FUMING.

Just picked up my nexus 4 that was on backorder and the back of the phone is smashed!
The box was sealed and looked a little beaten. Cant believe it. - Do I bother turning it on?

Not sure what you mean by split the payment  part cash/card ? Yes can be done.

You will get refunded the way you paid for it, card payment card refund, cash payment cash refund (if cash available or goes to a card)

It's a bit long-winded but basically I horde Amex cards and I like taking advantage of the system :p.

I didn't realise when I bought the phone but Amex cardholders get £25 off £50 spend at CPW when they sync their card to an Xbox Live account. I've now synced all 5 of my cards to 5 XBL accounts so I need to get a refund of £250 from the £389.95 and then split that £250 across 5 cards, £50 each. Longwinded and faff for the advisor yes, but nets me a Nexus 4 for £254.95 so couldn't care less. Usually helps when I'm truthful as to why I'm doing it as well (CPW don't lose any money, it's Amex that credit my account).

The amount of free stuff I've leached from Amex is crazy.
