First day after a full overnight charge and so far happy with the battery life.

At 85% now and this includes:
5h40 on battery
40min screen time
listening to my audiobook (40min) while driving in today
10min phone call
and also some other uses.

edit: sound through *quality* headphones = amazing!!

That's excellent, mine dropped to 85% with nothing but 30 mins web browsing today, only thing I have syncing is gmail, everything else including mobile broadcasts, location, and google Now is disabled.

It's odd though, some days I get excellent battery with similar slow drain to what you describe, and others it just plummets.

Fair bit of texting, Some streaming over Google Music, Facebook, G+, Some app updates, Steam app (looking at sales), Transferred some money too using Natwest app.

Google now on but only Weather, Traffic, Sports, Birthdays & Activity summary active. Two email accounts syncing with gmail. 1 Google account syncing contacts, Gmail & Play Music.

Data & Wifi, Auto brightness, NFC disabled, Bluetooth off.

Hit 18% before I decided to plug it in cause I need it later

I disabled a few Google services like Currents, Books, Movies and Mags... Kept G+ as I use the photo upload feature.
Disabled Cell Broadcasts as well.
Disabled NFC

Google Now and Lattitude / Location sharing enabled.

Yeah it does use a lot! But then I'm on Three so I don't worry about it. I did have to turn off automatic caching in the settings though as it started to eat up the storage on my phone!

I think the auto caching on Music downloads the entirety of each track you listen to, which is all well and good, unless you happen to listen to a lot of 2hr DJ sets, skipping to the good bits.
My data got hammered before I realised this, and of course background data use will munch on the battery also.

What was your estimated dispatch? As you ordered on the 6th I'm guessing 4-5 weeks or more, so you wont hear anything yet, they've only just completed the 1-2 week orders.

Yes, that is correct. Just disappointing that some people got theirs 2-3 days after ordering (based on what I read, of course). It might be all lies!

Christmas soon, so not really confident they will deliver.

Yeah some people got lucky, its been a bit of a mess as you say. Unfortunately I don't think you'll hear any thing until they ship it, unless there is a further delay. Hopefully you won't have to wait to long, good luck.

It basically appears that on launch day it was best to leave your order late in the day as their ordering system just breaks down under the weight of early orders and the days after that it goes back to what resembles an ordering system setup in the early dawn of the internet. So whatever youve got as part of your order email regards estimated despatch is probably correct.

In all honesty expect to do most of the leg work regards communication as theres a good chance the phone just turns up out of the blue unexpected otherwise, you might get a dispatch email, you might not, doesnt appear to matter. Also watch out for the benjamin button order status

imo theres no need to panic yet since its still well within their time frame

if february or in the last week of Jan arrives and i still got no n4 thats the time to panic

Sorry for my language, but I can't stress this enough.

Google will suck your soul and give you no idea it is happening, whilst their staff pretend to be oblivious too.

Can anyone recommend a screen protector for only the back? Preferably as invisible as possible and cheap

I've been very careful with it and it has 2 hairline scratches on the back, only viewable at certain angles.

If it is being delivered by TNT it probably won't come today but (unless you already have it of course!) you should receive it on Monday... just in time for Christmas!
