***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

same boat here and 6-7 weeker.

i think if the GS3 on EE have no branding ill prbbly bite the bullet and cancel the n4 :p

Been using my N4 for a few days now and I'm very pleased with it!

It's just so smooooth and nice to use. It's a good looking phone and well built. (It feels solid)
I think battery life is great (It's the best I've ever had from an Android phone). I easily have about 30% battery life left after a very long day of avg. use.

Overall I'm very pleased and very happy I got one in the end. (Not to say I've forgiven you Google!!! Prepare next time!!)

I hope some of you guys still waiting might still get one today... it would be much better playing with a brand new N4 than talking to boring family members on xmas day. :D

Google are VERY quiet on when they will get more stock. Should we give up waiting?

stock is being made constantly, but it is a worldwide shortage, also people who have already ordered or need a replacement will be on priority. therefore realistically your looking at mid january i reckon going by how they came back into stock so quickly last time.

if you cannot wait, get a different phone, i dont understand why people are so impatient, this happens every time to every "most wanted" device. if you really want it that badly, pay the extra £100 for it at carphone warehouse or on auction.

also is it not LG who are the manufacturer, therefore it is essentially up to them, whether or not they want to up production or even reduce it, with this being a much better phone than they offer at any price range, you could see why LG might not want to manufacture them quick enough

I've ordered a generic flip case off Amazon and intend to buy a Poetic slim book when my tcb vouchers are ready, I'm also very tempted, to the point of buying anyway, by the Poetic Atmosphere case for the Nexus 4 has anyone got any experience with Poetic Atmosphere cases, they look ideal for actually seeing the phone.

Anyone having a problem with the notification light?

I can't get it to work even if it is enabled in the settings, had to download lightflow lite and it seems to be working now.

I find it strange that you have to download a third party app in order for the led light to work

no issues with the notification light here for whatsapp and sms, I'm sure it is working fine for gmail too but can't remember off hand.

I wouldn't have known there was a notification LED until you just mentioned it.

Check in the display settings if the LED light is enabled, if not tick the box and have a look next time a SMS or email comes through the LED notification light should flash.

Could some one please tell me the following:

1. Has android implemented a notification screen on the lockscreen? Or do you need to unlock the phone to see notifications?

2. Google Drive integration with with google apps and the OS? Would be nice to see for example google drive intergration into the photos

Yep mine stopped working. I think it was due to me installing lite flow and losing root access. Either way I factory reset and it was working again

You can see notifcations and access them from the notification tray, but annoyingly it doesn't give you any shortcuts (e.g to your messages) on the lockscreen itself when a new one comes in. You don't seem to be able to add app shortcuts to the lockscreen either.

I only get around 2hrs screen time, must be because I basically have 0-2 bars on three(3), most of time it's 0. I didn't have this problem on my S3, the antenna must be a cheap one.

Received mine earlier today, everything working great except wifi is sporadic. Sometimes works fine, otherwise it says it's connected with ~100 mbps speed but won't open web pages, view email, etc.
3g is working fine however.

Google shows quite a few with the same issue.
