***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Someone on another forum just told me that there aren't expected until February, does anyone know if there's any truth to that?

I've been searching pretty thoroughly for the past few days, news sites and review places and whatnot and not heard anything about the next batch.

Personally I wouldn't believe any such rumours, Google and LG aren't saying anything and I think anything that gets posted is just rumour and speculation which some then pass on as fact.

I remember mid December there were rumours that after they had screwed up the initial orders none of the rest of us would get them until Jan or Feb, but many of us did get them by Christmas. I remember somebody posting on here that it was an absolute fact we wouldn't get them until 2013...

Does anyone still believe these are going to come back online at £279 for the 16Gb version?

Yes, just nobody knows when..

When mine was ordered at the start of Dec it said 5-6 weeks, which including holidays would but it around the February mark.

Better be worth the wait :)

A screen protector will take a lot away from how awesome the screen is to use. Personally I'd avoid one.

I haven't scratched a screen without one in 3 years - just don't dip your phone into sand.

Google are being pretty damn poor with updates to their poor stock control. It'd be nice to have any update of when you may be able to order one!

Anyone have WI-FI problems? Did a quick search but found nothing so sorry if already asked.

Nexus 4 has trouble connecting to Playstore most the time. Connection times out etc.
When I do eventually connect, downloading apps mostly results in errors (489).
Same with browsing internet, very slow.

Problem only occurs on the home WI-FI (Even though it works with other phones in the house). All is fine with 3G and WI-FI hotspotting.

This, I can understand the attraction of building hype around a phone almost all reviews rate highly and at such a low price too.

But half the hype is around the low price and people won't wait forever.

I'm definitely not gonna anyway. No excuse for not having a stock expected notice up except to keep everyone on tenterhooks.

No problems here

They have to produce their own flagship as well, but still..

Since that's only counting the 16GB variant, I would probably guess that around 1 million total Nexus 4 devices were shipped.

Yup, I've had issues as stated earlier in the thread.
Been keeping my eye on this the thread at google: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=40065 to see what happens. Tried dozens of things and nothing fixes it. Ususally works for 30 seconds or so after rebooting the phone or the router, then goes slow or times out. The fix here didn't help either, might work better for you.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the battery life on the Nexus 4, I've been getting around 18 hours a day and that's with moderate use, I did however install Juice Defender so that must be doing it's thing.

I do also think this phone is excellent, it's so hard to chose between this and my S3 LTE, and the more time I spend with the N4 the more I like it.
