***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Now I've had the phone a few days I'm finding it very impressive. Best phone I've ever had, it simply just does everything you want it to. One of the things ios always had over android was the smoothness, this phones is just sublime when scrolling. Also helps that the screen is nice to touch, they've used some really good glass. The weight is non existent as well, a friend who has a gs2 even commented on its lightness.

Just one quick comment on the camera, has anyone else found the flash to be really over powering? I took a couple of pictures indoors yesterday evening and popped the flash on just to see how it came out. It made everything really bright and white.

My parents ordered my one of these for Xmas (16GB), but I wasn't expecting it to arrive in time, however it arrived a week after ordering! Still waiting for me in England all wrapped up :( Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on it!

Well just pulled the trigger on a N4, getting it on 3 as that seems to have the best coverage around here. Reckons it migt be here tommorow, which would be nice. Then will be time to fix the screen on my Desire HD and pass that on to the wife.

Where have you ordered it from that they will deliver it tomorrow? You're getting it from 3 on contract I assume?

I done some reading and someone mentioned D-LINK routers were buggy with the Nexus.
I run DD-WRT on a D-Link 615 so I thought I'd try upgrading the firmware and to my surprise, it worked! Apps now download instantly.
I was ready to exchange it or refund it as it was really getting on my nerves.
Hopefully you get yours sorted. :)

Unfortunately I'm using a Buffalo router with a ralink chipset running the latest DD-WRT. I have a sneaking suspicion it may be down to the chipset.

This is not a ROM issue. Have you tried a different kernel? Most of the custom kernels are now using the new WiFi drivers and msm_hsic wake lock has been fixed.

Apart from that you will have to till Google release 4.2.2.

Which kernel, I did try a few a while back with little success. The msm_hsic is also killing me on PA right now running up to 2 hours on most days, along with 1-2 hour of the power management wake lock.

Also really annoyed, the back of my nexus 4 is full of scratches, already have 6-7 and I have been taking more care with this phone then you would do with a baby didn't even drop it once, put it in a pocket with anything inside and so on >.>.

Not sure if anyone else tried this, I've been using beats drivers on my N4 for the past few days and sound quality has improved significantly while listening via headphones.

Same drivers as used in the beats certified series, can be found here:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motioncoding.beats&hl=en

You need to be rooted and make sure you create a backup (nandroid or manual) of the original drivers in case you want to go back to stock.

Personally I prefer these drivers, sound much better than stock.

Try the Franco or IntersectRaven kernels.
