***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Just received my poetic bumper case and so far first impressions are very good. I think it looks pretty good with it on, I can keep protectors off the front and back and not worry about setting it down. I keep it in the nexus 4 shocksock slip case and it fits OK with the bumper. First chance I get I'll post some pictures. Its well worth the money anyway.

I didn't just randomly pick the One X case when I bought mine you know :p

:D

I was going to add a comment to the end of my post mentioning that you'd already said you'd compared measurements, but forgot. :)

Think I might pick one of these up as an alternative case, they look rather nice for the money.

I mentioned a while ago that my girlfriend dropped hers and the corner of the glass on the back cracked. It wasn't the back, it is the front :(. The crack doesn't go near the screen so it's fully functional. It's a little worrying as the fall was only a foot onto wooden flooring. She's got a diztronic case on it to protect it from any further drops now.

Just thought I'd let you know the front is worth protecting too

Really want one of these myself but the many reports of them splitting apart on xda is putting me off.

What's going on with this phone, I've heard talk of serious overheating problems?

I don't own the phone but have been researching it lots and I've not read anything about it actually overheating, just getting hot when being used like most smartphones.

I have had mine for over a week now and coming from an old Omnia 7 windows phone Android is still buggy.

Unlock screen starts to freeze after a day or so use and needs a reboot to cure.

Notification and Ringer volume at max is very quiet.

If I set to vibrate then turn volume back up I sometimes loose notification sound...reboot again.

With a case on or off when running navigation the phone gets very hot

I have googled these issues and they seem common.

My Omnia 7 would go for weeks without a reboot and was very slick on single core 1ghz

I am sure these software issues will be resolved and I love it even with them !

Ringer volume is louder then my SII so I guess it depends what you are used too!

As for the unlock screen freezing I am not sure? I have had mine turned on without a reboot for over a week and it's still silky smooth?

Sounds like perhaps an issue with your phone? :o

anywhere to buy this sim free yet other than ebay?

I too am trying to look for one.

Since my younger brother lost his HTC One S, he wants to stick with Android and this is so far the best and priced well - if it ever comes back in stock on Google Play.

eBay prices are so inflated, it's crazy!

Anyone knows how best to monitor Google Play UK for when stocks arrive?

I've not experienced any of these issues, aside from the notification and ringer volume not being quite as loud as I'd like. I'm on stock.
