***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

What's the best cheapest monthly deal you guys can find for this phone ? I found one for £20.50 a month which incudes 100 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb data and the phone is free !

I'm buying outright and getting the £10 GiffGaff SIM deal. Cheapest way I've found...

Anyone ordered recently? What's your status? Mates still shows as pre-ordered :/

I ordered mine on 30th Jan and it didn't change from preorder until the 1st. I haven't got it yet but it took 2 working days for mine to change from preorder to shipping estimate. if you ordered it on Thursday/Friday/Saturday, they probably won't finish assigning your order to a phone until Monday/Tuesday since they don't work over the weekend.

I second this. Although currently I'm only usually on the £5 deal which doesn't include data as my old phone didn't support it except like WAP. Roll on 22nd and I'll be on the £10 deal.

There is a very good sim only deal with orange at the moment, dolphine 150m, 500txt 250mb internet for seven pounds a month with cashback option = 2pounds a month, which ends today.

The deal is offered via quidco, I jumped all over it moving from my giffgaff 10 pounds a month deal, I have already have my pac code and will port my number as soon as I receive my micro sim.

If you're talking about unlimited data, they changed it recently. You only get 1GB a month for £10 now. Good news is unlimited is only £12 per month, which is an extra ~£20 per year, so it's still a great deal.

Also, with giffgaff, if you post in their forums, especially the help section, you can earn payback! i get £10 average payback per month, which covers my topup every month ("earned" £27 in the last 2 months :D )

Looked at their forums once, wish I hadn't bothered. Everyone just pops in with copy pasted rubbish or read the first part of the message not the whole thing in the hopes that they have one of the first replies or that they get payback from it. Why can't it just be first or second correct answer and its closed without pages of rubbish.

+1 their forums are terrible, i'd rather just pay the £12 a month than have to read that dribble everyday

Ordered my Nexus 4 at 15.01 when it came back in stock. Status changed to "Google has received your order" on the 1st. Bit annoyed that people who ordered after me have already received theirs. Ah well, at least it should come in the next couple of weeks anyway.

I currently only get 500MB a month with Vodafone and I have never gone over that, so 1GB is more than enough for me. So I'll save my £2 a month :)

Quidco cashback takes about 3-4 months to be paid, and it's not gauranteed. And those minutes and data are terrible considering there are plenty other deals out there for a couple quid more for unlimited...

I've got 2 N4 16GBs spare that I've got to arrange to go back to Google. Bit of a pain - doubt I'll get the shipping cost reimbursed because the delivery wasn't refused (I was at work).

It's pretty bad that Google don't have a proper queue system - I placed two orders because I'd read that order fulfillment was random.

Then I have to say that is your own fault for not being patient.

Id normally agree, but its pretty obvious that the way Google take and dispatch orders aswell as communicate any changes would leave anyone with some doubt whats happening, this thread hasnt swelled due to people talking about the phone, but far more about the lack of communication and/or service provided by Google.

Do Google still have the system in place that you can only cancel an order within a few hours of ordering it? Even if that order is going to take weeks to fulfill?

ps3ud0

They sold out in 30 minutes last time, how was I to know that it wouldnt happen again? People were waiting a month or more back when they came back into stock on Dec 5th. I also knew from research that Google fulfill orders randomly (certainly not first come first served) so it was prudent to hedge my bets with multiple orders.

I actually tried to cancel the 2nd order when I got the shipping notification for the first, but it was too late.

Anyway its just an inconvenience really - they'll get posted back tomorrow I guess.
