***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

the nexus 4 should be scoring much better than the optimus G, LG's software is very poorly optimised and not performing as well as it could considering the hardware (going by benchmarks).

In that video the nexus looks great, screen looks very nice and the bottom bezel doesn't look big there, still have mixed opinions on the back though, I like it in some pics/videos, hate it in other videos and pics :p

If only there was a HTC one nexus with the same design as the S/X and specs as well as price *drool*

Yeah I would have got the One X if it wasn't for Sense UI and HTC in general.

Glad I waited for this though!

If O2 are good in your area, Giffgaff at £12 a month.
Or 3 at £12.90, but that's limited to 5000 texts. If your sending 5000 a month you need a psychologist, not a phone lol.

Giffgaff? Plus you get ridiculously fast speeds due to HSDPA+ :D

Thank guys but silly me, I also mean unlimited minutes!

Currently on o2, so giffgaff wouldn't be bad if they were unlimited

On the 8gb version how much do you think will be left for user? I'm toying with the idea of getting one for me and the wife and was wondering if I could get away with the 8gb version for her :D

N4 looks really fast on this video.
switching between camera and video is instant. there was around 1sec lag on galaxy nexus.

need to check what it is about those lockscreen widgets

The lack of it makes the CRT off look silly. Have both or none, it seems like common sense to me.

Not only would it delay waking up the phone but it would also be nothing like a CRT which gradually fades in when you turn it on. That animation is a CRT turning off, not on.

CRT off makes baby jesus cry! I'm not using an outdated piece of tech I don't want to make it look like one! :p

Tbh it's this attitude that's held Android back for some people. Some times you have to do this because it looks nice, even if it might slow a process or serve no real purpose. Android designers seem to be realising this now.

Maybe I'm just weird but even ignoring the I don't want it to look old thing I just really don't like it, I find it distracting if I've got my phone in front of me and it does it.
Then again that's why I like Android, if you don't like something it's easy enough to turn it off.

So basically, shops could well have it ready, SIM free on the 13th, but you have no idea.

i know, but sounds like a naff selling routine, having it live on the web site the same day it goes live off the shelve, surely most *die hard fans* would want it on the 13th and not to order it on the 13th and wait a week
