***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

As long as you're bootloader unlocked, then you just download the image, extract the archive and run the .bat

That will wipe the phone though, if you don't want that you edit the .bat file and remove -w from the fastboot update line.

I downloaded the OTA update (from Android Police I think) renamed it update.zip and flashed it with the Clockworkmod recovery. Quick and painless, no issues (or huge changes) and thankfully Apex launcher has been updated and no longer force closes. Stock, unlocked, Nexus 4 apart from Rom Manager installed (hence Clockworkmod)

Got mine updated too using CWM only slight issue was loosing root but chainfire had an updated zip to fix that, liking the new autodialling function but cant find too much other than that thats changed

Yeah, easier with the phone attached to PC, not going to be at home for a few days, typical.

Something has gone wrong on it now, I think I deleted the Google Services Framework data and now I can't download anything from Play Store etc

That's what happened last time when 'pushing' my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 to get the 4.2.2 update by resetting the Framework! I then had to reset the phone and stert from scratch as non of my Google apps worked!

I'm just gonna wait it out till it's pushed to me in its own time!! :D

Can anyone recommend a decent car mount for the Nexus 4. Would be handy having the ability to mount it directly to the dash and make it easier to control music when I've got it plugged in through the aux cable!

I thought the dialer was supposed to be updated, didn't realise you needed to turn the setting on! (Dialer>Settings>Dialing autocomplete)

Been missing this feature for a long time, was standard on CM/PA roms on my HTC Desire, took their time!

personally i will wait until some geek over at xda uploads flashable zips of the update for anything changed firmware wise. if nothing has changed to the firmware, i shall wait for PA to update software changes in their next update.

i can wait a day or two for them to do this, not as if it's going to take them long to do or if the update is worth flashing stock for.

I have http://www.amazon.co.uk/OSO-Space-Universal-Mobile-Holder/dp/B008E5OMGG/ and this one

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Oso-U-Gri...7301?pt=UK_Holders_Mounts&hash=item33832a6b05

Both are excellent, OSO use a very nice sucker which will stick on rough dash as well.

The second one I prefer - though the first one is easier to put the phone into and out and is taller if you prefer that. I don't think you can get a better dashboard mount
