***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

My Nexus 4 had paired perfectly with the BT / RNS 310 in my VW CC.

Before I installed 4.4, the phonebook sync stopped working and was only sending two contacts (in my Google contacts). It had been pulling contacts from the two Exchange accounts I have setup.

What did I change or has broken to stop all my contacts being accessible to the car? I've re-paired the phone to the car and that didn't help.

Noticed that my phone didn't charge last night so went to charge it when I got home from work, but it wasn't charging when I plugged it in. Re-booted the phone and it said battery 1% and it was charging then. Anyone experienced this before? What does it mean?

I know there is an accessories thread but thought I would try on here too....

Anyone know a good waterproof cycle mount for the Nexus 4? Seen a few on the rainforest site but wanted to know if anyone uses one in particular?

I had a weirdness sort of like this!.

Phone was plugged into my PC (standard USB2 Socket) for about 3 hours and the charge level didn't move up (or down) from the 65% it was on when I plugged it in!.

Rebooted it twice then suddenly it started increasing the charge and got to 99% in just over an hour n' half!

The trouble with phone mounts on the bike is they cover the power switch so unless you do what I did and root the phone then get the touch add on then you can't turn it off or on. I also d found it very hard to read the screen when going along

Be interested if anyone does use one but I would be surprised

Hmm odd, hopefully the battery isn't dying but it might be :p

I just wanted one to show a map when I am cycling. I'm not avid cyclist but I do like to see where I am going and what I am burning etc. Phone's already rooted so no issues there.

OK you need touchcontrol, this will allow you to turn the screen back on by tapping it so you don't have to worry about the power switch. As I said I did find the screen too dim (the mount then got stolen so that put paid to it anyway.)

I did come to the conclusion that seeing the screen through plastic was probably going to make it hard to see in sunlight - however if you do find something let me know!

For those that have the poetic bumper cases, have yours started to split? Seems a common problem. I need to order a new one as it is getting so bad.

I think it affected the earlier ones rather than the later ones, tbh for the price they are pretty incredible. Mine is still pristine and have had it since the beginning of July

Yeah, mine started to go wrong at the end of December. I'll just buy another Poetic case tbh, as it was cheap and did the job. It's lasted ~8 months, I can't really complain... :)

I'd prefer not to have a bumper on it at all, but without one, it's like an air hockey puck. Floats across any surface until it finds a ledge to jump off.

Poetic do a 3 year warranty on their cases, but you have to send the defected one to them before they will replace it. That might not be so bad if the RMA address wasn't based in San Francisco!

It is bizarre how it floats across seemingly flat surfaces. I had to stop using the wireless charger overnight as it would slip off the charger, then the table and on to the floor while I was asleep. It's got a mind of its own.

This has happened to me a few times. It also decides to charge on USB rather than AC a lot of the time too. Its really annoying. A reboot seems to fix it but I have no idea what the cause is :/

How many of you have switch from Dalvik to ART on the Nexus 4?

I've just done it and find that I can no longer lock the phone via the power button. Everything else seems fine though. Bit of a strange one!

Anyone else has this?

EDIT: Bah, nm. It seems to be OK now. I tried a reboot and it made no difference. 10 minutes after the reboot and only a few minutes after this post it seems to be working... and making me look silly :p

Been running ART for a while.

I do have a few problems just turning on/off display on the phone using power button. I put that down to old age and button being abused however I don't remember it being that tempremental pre-ART

Oh, that's interesting. I had zero issues with it pre_ART. I'll see how things go over the weekend.

I'm having problems with my power button as well and I'm running stock, so I guess it could just be old age. Sometimes it doesn't respond and other times it will act like I've pushed it twice so I'll turn the screen on and then straight back off again with a single click.
