***The Official LG Nexus 4 Thread***

Still got my nexus 4, but only got the 8gb, and it's pretty much full all the time with hardly anything but apps on it, think I need a new phone. But nothing wrong with this one! bit annoying as I like the size. Not sure what else is out there that isn't 90% to being a small tablet!

Z3 Compact was what I went for.

I've been tempted to change from my N4 16gb to something brand new but in all honesty this phone still does everything I throw at it perfectly well so no need to spend any money yet.

I'm in the same boat. Was tempted by the N6 but I prefer using my N4 one handed and can't see me being able to do that on something that much bigger.

I'm keeping an eye on the LG G4 as I've heard good things about the previous ones but if that doesn't suit then I can see me holding out for another 6 months at least. The phone still looks good despite not using a case and treating it rather poorly :)

Think I'll be moving on to an N5 soon, but just trying to get my N4 back to a stable device.
Since 5.0.1, I've had issues where the phone didn't wake. Stuck on no screen, and hard reset required. Wiped several times, and still happening on 5.1.

Have figured I'd be as well try some other kernels, and roms to see if there's any change.
Any recommended roms? I've just went for the Mirage kernel, on stock 5.1 now, but not holding out much hope.

Been using an iPhone 4S for the last couple of weeks, and it's a terrible device to use. So small!

Edit: Since updating to the Mirage kernel, the phone has not suffered any of the lock-ups. Nexus 4 saved, and will be used until it properly dies. :)

Hoping someone can help me here, just flashed CM 12 and Lolipop Gapps.

I seem to have lost root, and it's been so long that I can't even remember how to do it. So I googled a guide, all of them require connecting my phone to PC via USB, but I have an issue with this, the connection isn't stable, it seems to connect and disconnect constantly, I get errors like 'USB device not recognised' etc.

What can I do to a) Fix the USB issue? and b) possible to root without USB?

Thanks. :)

edit: nevermind, had to enable root in dev options!

Maybe try a new battery for mine. Not getting much use of out of it at all at the minute, was fully charged this morning, bit of light use on Instagram/Messenger on my tea break this morning and its now down to 28%. If that fails I think its new handset time.

Think mine is nearing it's end. Phone will shut down at random points of the day and also reporting false battery statistics. It'll be at 60% odd, shut down and after putting it on charge and powering on it's 0%.

Don't want to say goodbye to this phone. :(
