Well mine still hasn't been despatched. I'm seriously considering cancelling the order and picking the game up from a high street store this evening.
 
I've got mine, it's sitting in the draw of my desk. Not going to play it until later tonight when I've got time to get fully involved.

Unfortunately I've got a shed load of work to do for next week so I won't be able to play it much over the weekend :(
 
Well I would seriously suggest no one use a company on Jersey that thinks of itself as a horny fox. Having had a look on DVD Review their customer service is totally laughable!
 
I'm very impressed by what I've seen so far. Bioware are the daddies!

Trouble is I've sort of messed up my first character, so all of todays 'work' has gone out of the window. But hey, that's what these games are all about. It's just a shame that I suck at combat though, the controller/controls can be a bit of a nightmare at times.

That's why I just had to start a second campaign. :D My hardnosed female Vanguard should put a few backs up.

I have to I'm a little saddened, By the fact its on my SD TV and I may have to look into putting it on a TFT monitor.

I'm having the same problem I have with Vegas, People off in the distance are hard to see, I find myself straining.

Brilliant game though!

I'm playing an Infiltrator. Snipers F T W!

I turned the film grain effect off, it looks crap IMO.
 
Wow what an amazing game!

I've been playing for about 1.5 hours and its just totally captured my interest. The story is engaging the graphics are amazing the weapons, squad, power systems are fun. I got a funny feeling i've not even stratched the surface yet with the game.

Ah what can i say.. shows how lame and boring not to mention over hyped halo 3 is. Again, another game (the other being COD4) that comes out in the same month that blows halo 3 outta the water.

Best single player shooter i've played in a long long time. If you haven't got it already then goooo get it!

It'll be worth it for more interactions like the one I found very early on. "Say goodnight, Manuel" *Thwack* :D

But I will run a goody two shoes campaign alongside it, just to be on the safe side.
 
I think it's a VERY VERY lovely game. Real captivating story, some incredible tense moments and all in all a very well put together game.

But I'm a little surprised by these reports of "OMG AMAZING GRAPHICS".

Do you really (I mean, be honest, you REALLY) think it's that good in the graphics? I certainly don't.

It's not a spoiler, but the bit with the train saw you and 2 others on it. The train moved, but the characters were juddering to keep on it!!! I've desperately tried to avoid the graphics, and now enjoying the game for what it is (brilliant), but really really don't rate the graphics at all.
 
i think the graphics are possibly up there with gears of war etc, but the only thing that lets it down is the framerate problems (which arnt really that bad tbh), and also a few graphical bugs, but other than that its great.
 
Is this game using the Unreal 3 engine? It looks like it, the shadows look the same on the characters faces as in GoW, and there's the texture issue where they don't load straight away.

Also the difficulty setting, what did everyone put it on? I chose the one after normal but I can't remember exactly what it said, something about it being more challenging and scaling up boss fights.

soldier atm...bit plain but im a bit out of touch with the rpg system so may go through again a few more times as more complex class, and being more of a git

love bioware good/evil systems :D
 
i playing as the default character cos i cba modifying it. quite enjoying it seems quite captivating. there is some frame / texture loading issues i think not sure exactly what there a little annoying but nothing major.

the sniper rifle is great.

will try without the grain later.
