*** THE OFFICIAL MAX PAYNE 3 THREAD ***

Seriously, with recommended specs like this I expect this game to look twice as good as BF3!

I'll quote the recommended requirements from the box:

- i7 3930K
- 16 GB ram
- GTX 680 2GB or HD 7970 3GB
- 35GB of free HDD space!

And the game is printed on 4 DVD's!

not saying nvidia is perfect but one of those cases is 3d, 2d was fine for him/her.

another could easily be a user related error.

chances are AMD cards will have a higher problem rate than nvidia.

could name you 5-6 games now that had issues with my 6970, then 2x6950's that dissapreared when i got my 580 SOC.

coincidence? maybe one or two, but every problem i had was resolved by going green.....

Played for about an hour and i really like it. Nothing plays like max Payne :) i love it when you can drag out the last kill and empty a clip into the thug. Looks awesome when they go flying over a table or stumble down stairs.

So far it looks nice, very sharp but not quite as detailed as expected. I'm guessing it will change later on in the game in the more open areas.

Can't wait to get back to it after work.

Can you imagine how big the next GTA game will be with this being 30 odd gig.

take no notice. if i was to recommended someone a PC that spec would come to mind.

its not a demanding game by any means.

They're not necessarily recommended specs... Just "tested" specs according to their site.

Bf3 requires 2x 680s to run with full details, so I don't know why you would expect double the details :-P

BF3 does not need 2x 680s to run with full detail settings. I know this because I run full details on my 570 SSC.

Maybe if you're running 3 monitors or something...but you made no mention of that!

grrrr just got in from work to play this through steam and i get this message.....

This game is currently unavailable , please try again at another time???? wtf??

ideas????

Ive got the retail version, just installing now, on disc 4.

Will report back if I get any probs starting the game like some people have mentioned.
