Haha no, I actually asked for one for free as I had just signed off a deal at work, they didnt like that idea so basically getting the Pro3 at half price with free keyboard and PSU..
 
At £650 i would probably get one.

I don't disagree with their pricing points for each configuration as it's only a rip off if you're looking at it as just a tablet (and if you are then you don't need a Surface Pro) but they really should include the keyboard...

You what, have you got any sense of cost.

On one hand it would make sense to include a keyboard, on the other hand you can reuse keyboards,. If you've already had one. so probably need both.

Well I do have one, I had one from the original Surface and then they brought out a new one for the Surface 2 and now with the Surface 3 we have another keyboard and the old ones are the wrong size for it.

tldr They need to include the bloody keyboard!
 
They all work on each other.
There was no need to upgrade from cover 1 to cover 2. It was not a surface pro 2 cover. It was simply an updated cover that works on any surface. Even the old covers will work on surface pro 3
 
RESULT! RT broke took it back to JL. As it was a tablet with keyboard they didn't have any as MS no longer do the combo packs. Initially straight refund, then £30 as a good will jester.
Left with a surface 2 with no extra charge. Ok lost the keyboard. But sacrifice I was willing to make.
So effectively paid £242 for a surface 2.

Enjoy the Surface 2, I did like mine. The screen alone makes it a great upgrade.
 
I'm hoping for a speed boost. Some apps were slow. Mainly map ones. Yepthey are well worth it. 2 year guarantee as well. It was no repair and you'll here off use in 28 days.

Just opened it up and realize I get the OneDrive 200gb and Skype vouchers as well. Was there a £25 store voucher as well?

So nice having all settings, apps etcaaved boot straight into my familiar setup. No tweaking required.
 
I think the £25 voucher was just a temporary offer from some stores. It is not part of the core offering like the Skype/OneDrive offer.
 
That's a shame, made a big enough saving anyway.
One setting that hasn't saved, is the silly dot when you press the screen, that shows you where you've pressed. Where's the setting for that?

YouTube website runs a lot faster.

Edit - never mind found it in ease of access.

What and pay an extra £700. Would live a pro 3. But can't justify the money. Plus I'll wait till surface pro 4. Hopefully with much better CPU/gpu. The only way I can justify it is if I can run games on it and the gpu just isn't quite there yet. It's close. Hopefully Broadwell, will be another step forward for power saving and gpu.

the base model starts at 700 i believe so when trading in an old model from JL its not an extra 700 so to speak.

Why wait for surface pro 4? when that arrives and you complain it is 800 more, you will then say you will wait for surface 5 lol

As I explained the gpu isn't fast enough.
Rt has office on, so the only real need for a pro is gaming. When it can get near my laptop on gaming, I'll be all over it.

Waiting for one with Broadwell is smart.

I'm getting a SP3 but it is slower then the SP2 due to throttling. The i5 cpu is the exact smae chip to the previous SP2.

The SP3 needs Broadwell, its is still an amazing device but you just know it get will gain either speed, battery or graphics performance.

The SP3 is like the iPad 3, nice screen, new design, but Apple quickly replaced it with the iPad 4 when they had a better CPU.

You just know its coming.
