Is anyone here importing from U.S.?

What would be the best way to go about that?

Find someone who is going to the US and ask them to bring one back for you ;)

Alas you are a week late to catch me, I had a good look at one last week with the option to buy one if I wanted but I just couldn't justify one in the end.

Impressions:
- Feels light for the size/power
- Screen is lovely
- 3:2 ratio works really well for IE and Outlook
- Extra magnet on the keyboard makes it easier to type on
- But the keyboard still doesn't feel anywhere near as good as a laptop keyboard to type on

I was sorely tempted but was too much to justify spending as an upgrade to a Pro1

can anyone recommend a good place to get a replacement charger for my surface pro 2? i can only assume it's dead as it's not charging nor is it powering anything that i plug into the usb port, and i've just checked and noticed the official one is £65 bloody quid! no way am i paying that for a charger, esp one that i consider to be absolutely crap

Found on eBay a seller that has the i5 128GB 4 GB version in stock, and they seem to accept offers of £700. (Selling for £799 but have in the past accepted £700)

Pre imported and in the UK, so no extra tax.

Not sure I 100% need one. I've come to the conclusion the Surface 2 is my favourite Surface.

:)

Now I've owned every single Surface.

Still setting it up.

Interested to hear if you have any of the reported wi-fi or heat issues.

Two WiFi related issues so far.

1) The New Blue screen of death during setup when I connected to WiFi.

2) Just had the Wifi completely disable itself after a shutdown and restart (had to disable in device manager and enable to get reconnected)

Another issue with the screen, has a visible yellow band on the side (all the way up). But others have mentioned it might just be glue drying.

I think it has reduced since I first got it, it is not backlit bleed. Will keep an eye on it.

Overall I think it is the Goldilocks Surface.

Pro & Pro 2 had too small a screen (and too big and heavy case),
Surface 2 and RT were too weak.

SP3 is Just Right!

Does the Surface Pro 3 come with Office or at least OneNote?

Every review seems to mention how easy it is to use OneNote, so I'd assume that at least is included?

No Office. Only comes with a shell program that downloads office if you have a key, or offers a month trial of 365.

Onenote desktop and the "Metro" App are both free anyway, and pre installed.

Onenote needs a store update for the double click screen grab function to work.

Sooooo much space :D

Observations:

Left side of the screen is always cold, and right side is warmer, the temps are not even. I understand the CPU is on the right.

Front facing speakers make for a much better sound experience.

Instantly switches on much quicker from standby now, much faster then the old Pros, same speed as the Surface 2.

Kickstand is great, the very lowest setting with the onscreen keyboard is very useful.

Loving the aspect ratio. I've found that snapping something on the side does not reduce the working space as much.

My yellow screen issue seems to be settling, suspect it was just glue drying.
