*** The Official Microsoft Surface Thread ***

Surface Pro 2's going for just over £400 at a few places now. Very tempted although i don't really need one! Heading to the states twice next year so thinking it might be worth waiting and picking up a Pro 3 over there.

Bought one buts it's a piece of junk. Going back. Found the dell xps 13 for £450. Will see if that's any better.

MS call backs can often be international calls, I've actually had Redmond, WA come up on the caller ID before.

On phone now.
They cannot verify my account as when I tried to do it for them there is an internal service error, ya couldnt make this stuff up!

So I have to send the busted one back to wait for a new one to be sent out to me.

What?...so its another couple of weeks till I see if a properly working not smashed one is delivered to me.

Apparently it took so long that when they pass it to the T3 tea, sometime theirs a glitch than will CLOSE the case before it has been resolved, what the hell!?

Was told the retun label would be sent to my email in a few moments, and its not here yet.

Thanks for the effort POB, but all i get to print is a receipt for thw warrenty exchange, no sign of postage etc, so will have to get in contact again i think.

Email came through this morning, so seems all set to go back...again.

Anyone seen the new HP Envy x2?
Starts at $799, but by the time you max out the CPU, give it 256Gb storage and 8Gb of RAM it climbs to over $1200.
There are a few nice points, the keyboard is included (still a major bug bear of mine, the tablet that can replace your laptop when every laptop comes with a keyboard) and is also bluetooth so you can disconnect, rather nifty, and given the space in the connect area of the Surface I cant see a reason for them not to do this.
Its fanless.
The pen has a home.
