Wonder how far they will go with it, I'm expecting it'll be a simple evolution of the Pro 3, but I really would like them to go all out and the internals be a huge leap and just use the same chassis so the existing accessories work..

As long as no stupid rose gold options appear I'll be happy.

Haha I cant see that happening...
Realistically I'm still thinking Skylake, Camera array, faster SSD's and a smidge more battery life due to Skylake/Chipset changes.

Other options would be 16Gb RAM option
1Tb SSD
Higher resolution screen
USB-C
Discrete GPU

Well yeah thats what I was thinking, change the internals a smidge now, plus camera array for Windows Hello support (given its a Win10 lead device) then on the 5 we'll have 4k screen, connect style camera/scanner/ir array, 8 core CannonLake, 16Gb RAM and 1Tb drives for sure, plus USB-C, built in 4g and no fans lol

Earlier this week I ordered a Lafité II (Skylake i7-6500U, 8GB, USB-C) great bang for buck ultrabook and nicely built for £600. However, since realising that the announcement on the SP4 is on Tuesday, I now have my finger over the cancel email.

The form factor of the SP4 probably makes more sense for work. But, it all comes down to the price of the SP4 and what kind of value for money in regard to the specs it offers.

Wish I had some more information to go on!

I think you could be right, sounds sensible.

On the other hand the build times on their products are very lengthy and if I were to cancel and reorder I'd be right back at the start of the process, I'm almost confident that by Tuesday it'll still be in the processing stage. Rolling the dice!

I think I'll keep it on order and hope that on Tuesday we get an announcement that includes the UK price and specifications. Wondering how soon after the announcement on Tuesday that they will be available.

With the SP4: I wonder which CPU options they will provide. Personally, I'd be happy with the i7-6500u from the U line. All I really hope for is that they haven't gone for something which will burden the battery life too much. Shame that something which is Irsis based won't be an option.

I imagine it'll be fairly quick, they'll want to get them out before the Holliday season, unless they **** up again like they did with the first series which weren't available to January, worst time to realise anything.
