*** The Official Microsoft Surface Thread ***

That T100 comes with Office 2013 installed as well as the keyboard dock. Quite a bargain at $349. Even if it's £349 when it gets here it's still decent for the money.

But why put that screen on it, also seems to confirm that atoms will be relatively thick compared to ar, not that it is by much.

From what I've read atoms do not come with office installed, well they do, but you need office 365 subscription or license etc. basicaly its a trial version you can activate.

I'd take a good 1366x768 screen over a bad high res one any day. For that price the T100 does seem very good. It's not going to be for everyone but as a little work companion I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye on it. Biggest omission for me is a rear facing camera, as they seem to be very popular amongst mobile workers.

At this price it's way more tempting than a Surface RT 2.

Windows RT makes no sense to me at all.

We dont know what the price is.
Rt is more than likely a thiner tablet, comes with office which is worth a fair bit on its own and does what most home users need.

Yeah agreed. Plus a higher res screen and better charging connector (I really hope they fix that)

Wouldn't surprise me at all if the Surface 3 went the Atom route and the Surface mini gets handed the RT baton.

Another round of rubbish tablets, so much for them learning.

Except for the surfaces, unnamed dell and Nokia.

All though got to take it with a pinch of salt as half of them are complete rumours.

Yup, I still don't understand how companies can put out such bad hardware, price it similarly to the iPad/Mini and expect it to sell.

And the Surface rumours are really disappointing IMO, very much an iterative upgrade.

Also I wonder why there all topping out at 1080p? Intels Bay Trail FFRD is 2560x1440 and apparently runs smoothly.
