RT still can't play MKV's for free, pressplay's a bag of crap, the cheaper MKV players have reviews of them not working (Quite recently)

I must have my used my Surface solid for Netflix, but I also want to be able to watch my MKV's too, whole point of it for me is media consumption.

EDIT : I rang my local Argos, they're adamant it's landing Monday with them.

Umm, well dont know if you searched much, but I Have HD player or something, it seems as versatile as VLC to be honest.

Yeah, it's not free, and the current reviews have it pegged as not really working, or flaky MKV support.

At any rate, it seems PCWorld MAY have been shipping orders out from yesterday, so it's very possible people are getting them today.

I just got off the phone with PC World myself, and well, erm.. My Surface 2 is coming tomorrow.

Microsoft confuse me.
Last year they had slight delays, this year they've REALLY managed to work on the stock problem (For other vendors) but there's no proper reviews or anything :p?

"Hi there, order from us, get it last" is the current stance though :p

It just doesn't strike me as a well executed launch, as you can get Surface 2 now, however, it's not exactly advertised lol.
 
Yeah totally agree, its strange.

Apparantly they have spent huge amounts on advertising, I read something about an "extra" 1 Billion being spent, yet i've never seen any of it...

Hardly anybody seems to be aware these devices even exist! (In the UK anyway.)
 
The whole 1 billion thing is always wrong, that's their ENTIRE spending on Advertising for all W8 related products.
Though maybe not including the X1 stuff that would be coming up I imagine.
