Yeah that lenvo will be ace, no regrets on dell as I wont have wanted to wait another 4 months(or whenever it will be available in UK) but micro-hdmi, 1080p screen better cpu and upto 128gb, hope it comes in at a similar price to the others.
 
Is anyone using Skydrive in conjunction with an external hard drive? I wish to have the files on the external and Skydrive only, without needing a copy on the Surface itself (Space obviously limited). I must have looked at 50 guides today alone and don't seem any closer! :D

Get the original pro, I love mine still and at that price it is a very good value.
 
Ordered an original Pro today, shall be interested to see how it plays out. Don't expect it to replace my iPad but shall use it for work.

Just wish the MS site was a bit more informative!
 
Anyone thinking of a case for their Pro, just took delivery of a Manvex case. Black and grey leather, £30. First impressions, feels very high quality. Surface fits snugly, has cut outs on the sides and top for gestures dragging into the screen. Closes magnetically (quite weak), but has an elastic strap to keep it more secure (which is required if you have the type or touch cover attached as the magnets don't work with the cover in the way). Makes it a little tricky to use Chrome as the leather in the top left makes hitting tabs a bit more difficult but still doable. Built in stand system seems solid so far and gives you a few more angle options than the built in stand.

Pretty good all in all.
 
Any ideas if a Surface Dock purchased from USA would be OK in the UK?
Not sure what sort of power adapters it uses.
 
I don't think VLC have actually managed to pass the validation with audio yet, just saw a twitter message from end of December that they failed (From the attempt from earlier in the month)

i have the snugg too, and it's shame with the type cover it's too tight imo and harder to get the magnet lip to close evey time, but just the surface and it's lovely, absolutely perfect.

Yours the type 2 cover, its a bit thinner than the original type cover...
Mines fine, especially now its given a bit...
 
So the dock is plastic, not vapormag or whatever its called, thats steep then for £169...
For that price i would expect it to be the same material and the psu to be the same as the stock one...
