*** The Official Nintendo Switch 2 ***

Whilst I'm sure they'd never do it, I reckon there would be a fairly decent market for a Switch 2 Lite 'Reverse' which had no screen / no portability if it was £75/£100 cheaper.

Even though I convinced myself I'd probably play my OLED Switch undocked loads more than my original because it had a bigger and better screen, it has also spent the overwhelming majority of it's life in the dock.

I'd probably still get the standard Switch 2, but my OG also spent most of its time docked ... particularly during the pandemic when it wasn't possible to travel.

Loved the first one. Kids broke it a few months ago rather than buy another Switch thought I'd wait for the Switch 2. Never use it mobile so for all I care it could have no screen.
That makes sense but for those with a working switch I really can't see why anyone wants to fight the scalpers in what will inevitably be a feeding frenzy.

I think there would definitely be a market for it, but I can't see them doing it! I'd be tempted to buy one as a second console if it was significantly cheaper ours spends most of it's time docked but having two kids having an option for when they want to play different games would be nice. The screen on current Switch Lite is so disappointing after the OLED version that I can't do it!

Well no, but we haven't seen any of the games lineup yet.

If they rock up with new Mario, new Mario Kart, new Zelda, new Metroid, etc. etc. people will be tripping over themselves to play games like that.

If it arrived with Switch Sports 2 and nothing else, no one will be buying them.

I think it'll be fairly easy to purchase them. I really don't think scalping will be an issue and stock will be fine.

That would be an impressive and welcome feat, I hope your right at least they didn't go for a Christmas release!

Very true, a new Mario Kart is overdue as we are still playing essentially the Wii U version from donkeys ago (still an amazing game though!) I've been surprised a few of the recent switch releases weren't held back for the switch 2
