It's far to much hassle, I sold all my DVDs. Digital only, DVD drive isn't even connected to pc.

Just hope they add xbox video to wp8 soon, I can't believe they ***** up like that, seeing as it worked fine on wp7, that must **** so many people off. Purchased into the Eco system, upgrade to wp8 now their collection is suddenly useless.

I guess that would be the next logical step for the WP8 team. However, I guess the change from using Windows CE kernel to Windows NT kernel took more time than they allowcated to the project would be my guess.

More good news for the Lumia 920

Finnish retailer DNA Store’s Managing Director Sami Aavikko have told a local magazine in an interview that the demand for Nokia Lumia 920 in its stores were highest for any Nokia model released in the past 10 years. He also revealed that they are selling out of the devices as they receive.

“All of what comes in, I sell immediately,” DNA Trading Ltd Managing Director Sami Aavikko said, noting that they have had to introduce booking list at stores due to demand.

The issue is not just due to short supply, with Sami saying quantities delivered were similar as for the iPhone 5, but that shortages was due to true demand.

On this occasion the experience is not just a Finnish phenomena, with Nokia having great trouble supplying Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 models around the world as it has been sold out in many stores across countries like Germany.

It was also reported that Nokia received about 2.5 million units of order for Lumia 920 around the world.

Nokia merely commented that they were pleased with the good reception from Lumia phones, and were trying to get phones to stores as fast as possible.

Perhaps best wait for unlocked till then....few more weeks? Prices will surely drop?

Currently an Unlocked 920 is going for £120 more than U can pick up the unlocked HTC 8X for, so retailers really taking the p*ss with pricing at moment.

A yellow 920 will be mine.......... :p:D

More good news:

just as it is, demand is absolutely huge for this phone. I must, of course, not to mention a few figures besides "era" phones so we had EXTREMELY limited (we’re talking single digit, at certain colors). Add to that we have roughly twice the back log on this as we had on the Samsung Galaxy s3 so do you understand the extent of luxury problem … "

You make it sound spectacular...spectacular would have been their team working night and day and getting it fixed in a couple of days, this is just average.

Compared to Apple & Android, MS has been very good at supporting the OS.

EDIT: That's just from past experiences, as I have come from a 3GS > SE ARC > SGS2 > L800 > L920

You haven't owned a Nexus device, Google are very fast to fix bugs. It's the none Nexus devives that it takes a while fixes to filter because of the extra layers of bureaucracy.

That's true.

On the same note, it also highlights that MS has properly thought through the solution. As the "update" will be applied to all devices and not just one brand much like how it happens with the Android Nexus ecosystem. I guess its one of the plus sides of a closed platform.

This is some more good news:

Nokia UK Hi Chris, we've been listening to consumers and have been working to make the Lumia 920 available from other retailers from January onwards. When we have more news, we will let you know here on our Facebook page. Thanks
