***The Official Nokia Lumia 920 Thread***

Well i ordered my 920 today, expecting it to arrive tomorrow, only Vodafone business don't mess about so im posting from it now! :D:D Decided to keep the black version and after seeing a yellow one in store today I'm glad, not a huge fan of it in the flesh, matte is the way to go! Its very slippery though which is not a good thing.

Seems sexual so far oozes quality, months of waiting worth it in the end :D

Glad you're on board :D

If you're worried about the slippery nature of the phone then pick up one of the official covers I linked above, won't spoil the look of the phone, adds minimum bulk and gives you a much better grip into the bargain.

Ive never been a fan of cases really, but ill definitely be looking into them as its too nice a phone to leave unguarded in my slippery sausage hands. As long as its minimal bulk added I see no reason to shun them :)
 
I flashed my phone to Portico a few weeks ago. I'm assuming the version that was delivered OTA is completely the same as the version I'm running?

I was also having poor battery life but I uninstalled the facebook and Whatsapp apps and I think that has made a difference. Now 12 hours of moderate use is only using 25% of my battery whereas before it was going under 50%.
 
Got my phone yesterday and I'm loving it so far. My only problem is that when I bought it online from three, they made me get a prepaid sim card. The micro sim I received doesn't have any credit on it...
 
Not happy, where the hell has the ability to play embedded videos gone?? My Lumia 710 had no issues, they just showed up like the videos in the youtube app, this sucketh thine balls. I can't even see the titles to look them up on youtube myself!

Edit - At least it can handle scrolling through a page of gifs without issues unlike the 710, guess I'll just have to replace the YouTube thread with the random gif thread...

I know what you mean!
I am certain IE10 on WP8 supports HTML5, I believe the youtube tag on the forum forces it to view it as Flash rather than HTML5.

Going to other webpages with youtube embedded, they work flawlessly.

No I don't think you are. I do just use it from home to control my pc's. As you said though, I'm sure it won't be too long before a teamviewer or logmein app comes.
 
I saw a grey nokia casing for it when I was on Ebay after cracking the screen, I guess that would be the way to get an 'official' grey one.

I reckon that if you got that and took it to a Nokia care center that they would fit it for a fee. What that would do to the warranty though I dont know...
 
I'm not 100% sure if I'm on Portico yet (OS Version 8.0.10211.204) but its not working for me. Is it the fact that it won't let you buy films etc that's the issue you're having? There only seems to be the ability to buy music.
 
Hi just a quick one to say had a problem with the phone sensor making screen become unresponsive during calls and like a few people on here are reporting, seems to be a sensor problem, which on my phone was caused by the screen protector. Don't exactly know why it caused the problem but removing the screen protector completely solved the problem. I have cut down the screen protector as the sensor is at the top of the sdreen and now have no problems.
 
Hey Guys! I am having problems with my unlocked phone from clove. Got it in December, was working fine till about 2-3 weeks ago. When the phone is idle in the locked position for a considerable amount of time, it does nt unlock!! Its just frozen like its switched off and nothing works. I have to reset the phone. This was not really problem as it ocurred just 2-3 before but now it happens more frequently. It has ocurred more than 3 times in the last 2 days. Any solutions? Or any1 having the same probolems! ?? Also I saw people posting about the software update, but there is no update available whatsoever in my unlocked phone. I am a noob at this, please enlighten me !
