Thanks for the quick reply! I checked the other posts. Similar problem, but did not find any solution. Do you have any idea if its the hardware or the software? Its really irritation. Ocurred again today.

On another note, Does nt the time and date automatically set in the phone. Coz everytime it locks, I reset and I have to manually set the date and time?

I think/hope its software as both my first and second phone do it.

My wireless plate emits a high pitched whine. I have one next to my bed.

It's one of those noises you don't notice at first, but then you remember it makes a noise and you hear it. It's then very noticeable and gets on your nerves. Eventually you fall asleep and the cycle continues the next visit.

Something is killing my battery recently... Are there no apps available that will give me a breakdown of what is sucking the juice out of it? Or is that a limitation of the OS?

As each app is run in a sandbox then it has no access to see what any other app is doing. It'd need an OS component to get that sort of information, which is missing at the moment.

On my phone the only real battery killer I've found is Tap+Send, which will drain my battery in about 18 hours. Turn it off and I get almost 2 days from a charge.

OK, switched it off. I never use it so no need to have it on all the time.

However it's been fine for weeks, I must have installed something recently. Is there a history of app installs somewhere on the phone?

I'm not sure if I have something draining the battery or if its just because i haven't had the phone very long, but i haven't got over 18 hours use of out it yet. Maybe i just use it too much?

Battery has been off charge for 2 hours and its at 93%, though it says 2days 22hrs left which is well over anything ive seen before. Maybe its just bedding in.

Edit - lol its now 8 hours remaining.

Edit 2 - Screen brightness low
WiFi on but set to turn off when screen is locked
Bluetooth off
Data off
Email sync every 30 minutes
Location on
Don't have What's App or Skype installed.
Tap and Send off

At a loss here.

Something absolutely destroyed my battery today. I suspect it's spotify as that's the only app I used today besides the dialler. Is there a way to close apps manually? I really wish there was a way to monitor battery usage.

I got a critical battery level warning at 4Pm today after taking it off charge at 7:30AM today. I listened to music on the train and made a 5 minute call at lunch. That is just bad.

Has to be one of these that's draining battery for me

Nokia App Highlights
Sonic CD Games
TVCatchup
Sky News
Goal Centre

At a guess I'd say goal centre but can't be sure. I'm finding it a bit naff anyway so that's a gonner!

It wont be tv catchup, it does nothing once the app is closed. Have you got sky news doing anything in the background?

After a bit of reading it seems to take around 12 charge cycles to get the most out of the battery, so ill reserve full judgement until then. Gonna completely drain it tonight and charge it overnight. People have reported much improved battery after that.

Hmm just picked up my phone after accidently dropping the tv remote from a height of 3 inches onto it, to find it off and not turning back on. Battery still had plenty of charge left. Managed to get it on again by holding down the power and volume button, all ok apart from the date and time had changed for some reason. Bit worrying.

I think that is just coincidence tbh Bennie. Before the update my 920 used to freeze like that every now and again (it was a common issue), only a reset would bring it back to life.

Still having battery issues. It's only been off charge for 2 hours, I've hardly touched it and it's down to 75%

Has anyone gone from a 4S to the 920?

What are your thoughts? Do you miss the iPhone? Does Windows 8 stream nicely from say your PC to your phone?

Random question but would my car headunit play the music stored on the phone like it does from my 4S? It has Bluetooth wireless music so I guess that side might work?
