Tried Nokia Drive for the first time yesterday as a bit of an emergency. Was really impressed. Does anyone use this as their full blown sat nav?

Yup, I have used it a number of times now and I am very impressed with it.

It's even better now Nokia have released a wireless charging dock. :D

Yep, its replaced mine! :)

Just need to get myself a car charger setup and I'll be good. Am very impressive with Nokia Drive+ :)

I would like to report that whatsapp has improved battery performance...

However, recently I've been using it almost non stop, so its difficult to tell! On Saturday from a full charge i used it literally non stop for about 7-8 hours which i thought was pretty good.

Listening to music on the train this morning and noticed my phone was warm through my jacket. Back top of the phone is quite toasty as if I was playing a game, but I just had music playing in my pocket. Clearly some process is churning away but I have no idea what. It's rinsed 30% of my battery in an hour! This inconsistency is driving me mad.

Well just under a week now, and it looks like this phone is hanging onto life. Promised myself "one more soft reset required, and it's gone", but since the hard reset I've had no problems. No more UPDs (unexplained phone deaths)..... so far.

Been using it as my satnav since I got a Lumia 800, it got even better when they updated it just before Windows 8 came out. Thus far the best for a 'free service'. The only gripe I have with it is the inability to avoid a specific route.

I'll be driving to France at Easter, tempted to give it a go. Do I need to download any maps for Europe?

Is this software update for Unlocked only or what?

I'm running 9.0.9903.10
Firmware - 1232.2110.1244.3011

I clicked check for updates and it said my phone is up to date.

No that isn't up to date.

Go into settings, maps and download the region you require. I currently only have England, so safe space. When I'm driving up to scotland this summer, I'll then download the Scottish region. The same will need to be done for France :)

I found it rubbish. :( The navigation part was fine, but the actual address input or local search never got me anywhere near any of the places I needed to go. I'll give it another crack sometime I suppose, don't think I was doing anything wrong however..

I used it in conjunction with the local scout app and it worked really well. The girls needed some booze after the local shop had shut and being the only non-drinker I was sent off to get some. Local scout and then straight onto drive. Bish bash bosh, there I was at a late night tesco 10 mins later.

The only thing that's bugging me is the battery life. If I restart the phone it then goes back to being great, so it's definitely some dodgy app eating all my juice sometimes. I really want an app that shows which app is using the juice like on android.
