ok so apperently now, finally my area should have 4G.
I have the unlocked lumia 920 in red. I dont seem to get the 4G option in the data connections.

The most I get is either a switch between 3G, H and H+.

any ideas how I can check if my phone has 4G enabled and can be used?

However Drive insists on taking more scenic routes whatever setting I use and to top it off If I don't follow its detours it often fails to recalculate, I.E I missed a turn off into the void it wanted on the M6 and it actually told me it couldn't find a rout between there and my destination O.o

It seems to work as expected for me in HERE Maps:

I can't fully check on HERE Drive, but as I'm pretty much in the middle of the route I can check from my current location to either end of your route:

Only thing I can suggest is making sure you've got the latest version of the app and the latest versions of the downloaded map data.

It won't have 4G enabled just yet. There is an update coming to enable it though. I promise.

thats absurd :-/

I know I was able to get the 4G logo (and experienced 4G) in london a few times... unless recent updates disabled it.

*sigh*

any ETA on that update?

its a little unfair though if customers have a 4G contract and they have their phone as 4G but they dont get 4G... and wait for 4G to be in the area... once it is, they expect to use it off the bat

I know it seems crazy. But basically whoever sold you the device should have mentioned this to you. It would have been labelled up as a 4G ready device rather than 4G enabled. The only 4G enabled devices that were being sold at the time you purchased were those from EE. I don't have an ETA on it at the moment but a very rough estimate would be June/July.

How come since my reset I cant push apps to the phone from the store website, I use dot be able to but cnat now, its emailing me links instead which is taking to long lol...

I gave up with Nokia Drive after 2 journeys. It was atrocious. It wouldn't even place me on the road I was on, but one a few hundred yards to the side. It kept trying to navigate me off the correct road and on and off side roads. It would take me off at junctions, around roundabouts, then back on at the next junction. It's nice that it's free, but it doesn't have the functionality of a proper satnav. I ended up buying Navigon. Not looked back.

Not thought it could be something wrong with the GPS in the device? I don't know of a single person that has experienced any of the issues you've just mentioned.

The GPS antenna may be faulty, or it may be the environment where you use the phone. If your car has a filament heated windscreen and/or IR glass then this will seriously affect GPS reception.

BadMojo, could you try using you phone in another vehicle to see if it makes any difference?

Well if he's using Navigon the it cant really be the GPS.

Personally its never let me down so far and more accurate than Google and such.

Mate who was over in Glasgow said it was a life saver.

I love my Nokia Drive, especially with it being free. Navigon is good when I had it on Windows 7 (Free under Orange), not tried Windows 8, so can't comment. Won't buy something unless I really need it day to day.

Been using Nokia Drive up and down England without a hitch thus far. Even through London, it survived acid test of driving @ rush hour.

The only time it ever let me down was due to a new business centre (2012) and the post code given confused it to say my finished destination is at the back of the place rather than a route driving to the front door.

No, but it's 100% the case, I'm guessing it's reflecting light into the camera at strange angles because it just refuses to focus and 70% of shots are a blur, without the case it's 100% fine all the time. I seem to remember someone else mentioned this a long time ago.

This case, it's quite thick.
