Yeah, super crap, but it's tied to my cycling shorts so I don't lose or drop my beloved 920 when I'm out cycling! I can literally drop it, and it'll stop 3 inches from the ground. Saved my N8 from going for a swim quite a few times. :)

Anyone know of any good deals on the 920 at the moment? Looking for a free handset and <£30 pm.

I found what looked like a contender this afternoon, but I've just re-checked now and they've added £40 to the handset price. :(

My 920 got it's first bit of damage after my 5 months of owning it. It was sitting in the car door pocket and someone opened the door, causing it to go flying out onto the concrete garage floor! :( Can't complain too much though, no damage to the screen, and there is really only a few little chips out of 2 of the corners.

Anyway, that kinda persuaded me to buy a case and I picked up the official cyan one off the bay and I can't recommend it enough! Paid £6.95, it's really sturdy so will protect my phone, doesn't add much weight and it's the exact colour as the cyan lumias, so it looks like I have a cyan 920 :p Would recommend to anyone who's bought a 920 to pick up one of these cases, hardly any money for what it could prevent one day!

Hi guys

I have been messing about with iOS and android for the past year and fancy a change

I have a white lumia 920 coming this week

Only thing bothering me is the size and weight ( heard its a bit of a bloater)

Sky drive looks like a good replacement for drop box

Any other tips ?

Try it for yourself in a shop and see what you think. But really though, the weight 'problem' is overly exaggerated. It's no heavier than a phone from say 2 years ago, it's just that some phones have become extremely light due to the material used (Samsung Galaxy etc). The Nokia feels solid and sturdy.

Anyone ever used a skin rather than a case? Was thinking of ordering one to reduce bulk however i am concerned it will just start to peel off after a month or so and look crap.

I would get an Nokia case, I have dropped my 920 a few times onto concrete with no damage at all. I would also recommend the Nokia screen protectors, I have used one for 3 months now, not a scratch on it.

Yes, even went for one of the "cooler" bodyguardz ones, its looked like crap and is a pain in the left testicle to sit right due to the curves on the 920.. don't bother.

I have the Casemate on mine, does the job but the screen protector that comes with it doesn't fit properly as the edges of the screen are curved...

Well pleased today!

At work the data rate absolutely tanks around lunch time, so much so that my battery drains much faster due to the long data transfer times. I just noticed that EE have turned on 4G here today and my battery is at a higher level now than it normally is for this time of day. The data rates are pretty damn nice too: 15.96Mbps down and 5.68Mbps up (wish I got those speeds on my DSL connection at home!).
I'll have to check tonight as to how the battery lasts after being on 4G all day :D
