I know you're not. I also understand your frustration, but because the only people in the wrong here are Clove, there is nothing I can do to help. All I can do is say when the next update is coming (which I can't yet). Sorry. If you lived next door or something then I'd be able to put EE firmware on it myself.

EDIT:

Just to be clear though, ALL 920s are 4G capable right?

Yes, they are. Just limited by software for many, many annoying and complicated reasons. Soon all will be resolved however.

Thanks matey :)
I understand the NDA situation. Same with things internally @ MS

*sigh*.

I also did get screwed over by P4U - was the first one to get the red in the country when it came out :D
but they also missold me - claiming it was simfree/unlocked when it was not at all.

ill hang on.... maybe in 2020 ill get 4G :p

you cant save your contacts to your computer I believe. And you are an idiot for selling the 920 :)

you can save your contacts to your hotmail account/contact sync. Alternatively, wait until you get the S4 and beam them over via bluetooth/contact transfer.

Found an option to save to a spreadsheet from the windows phone website.

In regards to the 920 I like the handset but the lack of apps is starting to wind me up a bit.

Anyway I still have the 920 that tmobile seem to have forgot about.

I'm still amazed at being able to see the screen in strong sunlight, is this a Nokia thing, or is it the norm for modern phones?

I think most phones have sensors on them for strong Sun light and ways which work around it. However, I believe that Nokia has the most effective system at the moment. :)

Looks like a good day for WP8, Foursquare has now been released. However, there is a rumour going around that Instagram could launch with the Lumia 928 official release.

Does anyone have a problem with:

1) when playing music, say sets that last more than 10 mins long the phone restarts
2) inability to connect to bluetooth, used to be able to connect to car but cant now - or any other device for that matters - it connects then disconnects a few moments later.

Slightly frustrating that the iphone used to do the simple things so well :/

If the new lumia 928 looks as good as I hope it does in a nice aluminium skin I am thinking of swapping from my iPhone 5 over to it. POsted in here as the 920 is closest to it.

Worth the swap?

Wait till next week, theirs a Nokia event in London and they will be announcing the new updated thinner lighter version, also sporting the latest update to WP from MS and some improved camera software to handle daylight modes better.

Though theirs talk it wont have the wireless charging built in ( option cover is being talked about), but the 920 will be getting the same software updates about June.

All above is rumours and speculation, but its been fairly consistent stuff.

Poeple where hoping for the new phone (EOS) but realistically its going to be announced as the yearly next model, which most be about Oct time.

The Lumia 928, is going to be a Verizon only. I believe the Lumia 925 is the international model.

However, we will find out more from the 14th. :D

Got my phone back from repair, yay! :)

Quick one, is there a way to reduce how long the notifications show for at the top of the screen? They seem to sit there forever...annoying when your gf sends you 7 whatsapp messages in one go :p

Thanks! :)
