Your version of open is like a doorway with a barrier that only people over 6' can climb over. My version of open is a doorway with no barrier.

Virtually nothing is your version. Every thing has t&cs.
Closed is services where you can not access the infastructure, like most of apple software. Open is most of google products where they help and encourage other people to creat apps.

Some things I would categorize as "Open":
Open Office
Wikipedia
Blender
Linux

Things that I would not consider open:
Youtube (!!!!)
Google+
Gmail
Google Search
Google Docs
Google Drive
Google most things

Noticing a trend? Google are not an "Open" company at all, they support and encourage some open source projects however they are very much not open as you claim.

Either way I really give up now. :)

Could one of the mods please move this discussion to another thread, or even delete it altogether as (as already been said) as interesting as it might be, it is not specific to the Lumia 920.

+1 on Montala :)

so, has the 4G firmware been released yet for the unlocked devices who cant get 4G??? or is it still the same statement "will not be too long now"?

Something has started killing the battery on mine recently, have no clue what it is, have killed all the background tools and its still draining pretty fast.

I had that too. when I fully charged my phone before going to bed at 11pm, I woke up the next morning and the batt was flat!
no wireless or Bluetooth on. no BG apps. no data connection.

I had to take it to the nokia care center and the guy reflashed the phone completely with the OS and everything. that was over a month ago now.... and all seems fine now. Not sure what caused it to be honest. Perhaps a buggy firmware?

Do a sort reset, pretty much everyone has had the drain bug. Just something stuck in a loop.

And also install the Battery app, it has an alert if the battery is draining too quick.

I remember when they were launched, loads got returned because of this when it was just a very very very once in a blue moon software fault, mines done it twice in almost a year.

I've never had the bug, although I do tend to power cycle my phone once a week, perhaps thats helped..
