I've noticed a significant improvement in battery life with GDR2. Woke up this morning with 99% left, usually it was 80%. Overall I'm really impressed with the improvements in GDR2 Amber. :D

I think mine is going back, battery would say its done, then swtich off, i would switch it back on with 28% then the phone would go down again, switch it back on with 15% left and it lasted all day, so only thing left is a hard reset.

Anyways i can back everything up?

if you're going to factory reset it, stick GDR2 on it. Much easier.

1:- Back up your music & podcasts to your computer
2:- Backup your phone to Skydrive.
3:- Get the NSU For Retail from ^JP^s post on the previous page.
4:- Install and update to 3.08
5:- Open NSU and plug in phone, it'll say an updates available.
6:- Click update.
7:- 10 minutes later it's done.
8:- Your phone will reboot, it'll ask you for your Skydrive login, then it'll say do you want to reinstall your apps, yes.

Hmm I will probably do this in a min after I have gone through your checklist

Butch up girly pants.

1:- Back up your music & podcasts to your computer - I don't really have any
2:- Backup your phone to Skydrive. - I do this anyway
3:- Get the NSU For Retail from ^JP^s post on the previous page. - Will do
4:- Install and update to 3.08 - Will do
5:- Open NSU and plug in phone, it'll say an updates available. - Ok
6:- Click update. - Ok
7:- 10 minutes later it's done. - Ok
8:- Your phone will reboot, it'll ask you for your Skydrive login, then it'll say do you want to reinstall your apps, yes. - Ok but will the apps have lost their app data, settings etc?

Also I have been waiting ages to switch my primary Microsoft account login to another address which Microsoft have now made easy to do online but would have required a factory reset of the phone so I guess if I do the NSU route I may as well switch my primary id at the same time?

Sorry, didn't realise you were on Amber. Factory reset it.

Well... I'm mightily impressed with the Nokia Pro Cam.

How much free RAM did you have?

If it's still doing the spinning gears after an hour, do a soft reset, vol down + power until it vibrates, then leave it alone!!!

RAM .. LOL ... I meant storage left, apparently the less you have the longer it takes.

I honestly thought mine was bricked, did the soft reset and it sprang into life. :D
