Well my phone arrived back from Nokia, even though its the same screen and body, when they said it had been replaced, I get it back, charge it for awhile, and go to enter my MS mail to get my backup running, but no, I in put my email and password and get 0x80048823, and it says theirs a problem and it wont now sync my settings to my f'ing back up.

Each day, getting more and more disappointed.

Your right its not, still can sign in, utterly useless to me and now after problem after problem I'm finding I cant trust the hardware or the OS.

Suddenly it has started working.

I don't know why people keep quoting that thing. It doesn't have the right SW and isn't even accurate. Ignore it.

The update should still be on track to go out today. It will happen any time after 5pm UK time. Try forcing the update by telling it to check for updates. It won't go to all handsets straight away.
Any news? Still waiting for my 920 update, seriously EE really are pants although they seem to suggest the delay is down to Nokia. *sigh*

Just after your Welcome to your Windows Phone message it asks you to login, straight after that it says something like do you want to Restore our apps and settings.

Yea, though I had to do the master reset to get back to that option
again as windows wouldn't sign me in the first time.

To restore a backup

When you first set up your phone, sign in using the same Microsoft account you used when you created your backup.

When prompted to restore your phone, tap the backup you want to use, tap Next, then tap Next again.

Wait for the backup to download, then tap Next.

Do one of the following:
Enter passwords for your restored accounts, then tap Next.
Tap Skip if you want to enter your passwords later.

Tap Done.

There has been issues with MSFT servers as of late which is why you may of been experiencing issues with updates/MSFT accounts etc.

If I have time tomorrow I will see if the update works for me and let you guys know.

Just seeing although the phone came back with the Amber update done, I dont have any of the blocking numbers/ sms options.

My 925 had about 18 Nokia app updates after the OS update. Check the store. After the updates I had new options available to me including blocked numbers.
