***The Official Nokia Lumia 920 Thread***

Strange issue, have now seen it with 2 Lumia's (520 and 925) regarding 3g/gprs no longer working.

The 520 (Windows 8) simply wouldn't log onto this persons home wifi (but mine was fine) and their mobile data no longer works.

The 925 (My Wife's, WP 8.1, latest updates as of yesterday) was working absolutely fine, now mobile data doesnt work. (data wored fine on WP8, and initially 8.1, last update has changed something i'd wager. Tried a new APN entry, soft reset...nada. Googling on the issue, there are others with the issue but no real solution that I could find.

Any help or pointers?

I know three blocked W8.1 IE browser for a while as it had a new user agent string and they thought it was tethering(apparently) so my 920 would randomly disconnect after 2 minutes using internet and only cameback after a reboot. Oddly same thing happened to me in egypt on Voda.

Nope, VPN is off, had read a few posts here and there about trying that out.

Have emailed the local telcom provider, knowing what they are like i'll get a response when my pension comes through no doubt, so trying to eliminate as much from my end as possible.

Try turning your data connection off then on in setting rather that turning airplane mode on/off. That seems to work when I have similar issues with my phone on 3.
 
My phone has been trying to install an update for a few days now but it keeps failing. On the dev preview now. Anyone else having the same issue?
 
SO decided to turn my 920 into a music player for the car ( Blutooth installed etc).

Works well, its really very good as the start screen is now just filled with my pinned albums and live folders means I can groups certain albums all together.

Just a thing, but is anyone still getting problems with album art displaying, still getting lots of grey boxes.

I had that issue, gave up after 1 day of waiting. Used Nokia recovery tool to redo everything, gave me an opportunity to start afresh. Not bothered about Cyan yet (thank you EE for being SLOW!)

If you're more patient, wait till Cyan is out from your provider then do it as the Dev Preview still don't update Cyan right (even after update 1)

Still an issue, an annoying issue that.
Did some reading over the weekend, word is it'll be sorted on next update.

I am also getting the odd orphan songs from album of the same title and artist. Bah!

Thanks, how do I get off the dev preview? I'm on EE as well so slow boat to china waiting for Cyan :p
 
You'll need Nokia Software Recovery Tool.
Follow the instructions as that will revert the phone back to it original OS version. Then update all the way, sign into Dev Preview and update again till Update 1 is done before you do your backup.

Don't do your backup till all is done.

Also consider waiting for Cyan if you're bothered, I ain't and I'm impatient :D

Wait, so I should wipe my phone BEFORE I back it up? I'm currently on the Dev Preview now, but I'm thinking I'd like to go back onto the mainstream so I always have a stable platform. How do I do that?
