Any indication of the hardware cut off for win10? im hoping i'll get another year out of my 920 as its been perfect for me since day one.

I've seen rumours that all WP8 devices will be upgradable to WP10 (or whatever they decide to call it), but as with anything I'd wait until Microsoft officially make a public statement.

Can anyone help please. I've got a Lumia 920 that I'm giving to a good friend as her first smart phone.
It was locked to EE and she on 3, so I got an unlock code from the bay, a decent seller with thousands of unlocks. The code worked but the phone now won't recognise any sim cards. It just says no service. I'm upgrading to WP8.1 now in the hope that it'll fix things. Any other suggestions?

So the occasional screen flicker on my 920 is getting annoying, I have changed my EE plan to 30 day rolling sim only and I am considering getting a second hand 930 or 1520 to tide me over until new flagships are launched as these seem to go for around £200 each.
Which do I go for?

+ glance screen (worries I will miss this coming from the 920)
+ micro sd card slot
+ same internals as 930

+more manageable size
+better build quality?

Hmmm my trusty 920s battery has started tanking for no apparent reason, barely makes 12 hours now. I was planning on holding out till the WP10 flagships get released but I've noticed I can now get an 830 on EE ....
Do I carry on holding out, or get an 830?
What sort of timescale if anyone knows till the WP10 phones are released?

Funnily enough last week my battery died in the night and i couldnt turn the phone back on, had to charge it for two hours before it would even think about turning back on which was weird as usually it will power on when plugged in. Seems fine now though.
Could try a hard reset and see if its just some software screwing battery?
You thinking about buying phone or contract. I think 830s are really expensive for what they are. 830s are £279.99 on ee or you can get £299.99 for an unlocked 930 at CPW. I just bought a 930 for £209 unlocked (Grade A return). Seems much better unless you prefer 830 design.
The battery problems started around the same time I installed Tiny Troopers, I've now removed it and done a hard reset. Not a lot I can do over the weekend so going to sleep on it and see if the battery problems are fixed. I'd like to keep my 920 till MS release something special.
The fact the 930 doesn't have Glance has really put me off it, Nokia should have had a massive kick in the balls for omitting it.

I just got a 930 for about £180 and they have been going nearly new for £199 on the EE ebay store, slowly getting used to the lack of glance.
Well I removed Tiny Troopers as the battery problems started around the same time I installed it, never even got the chance to play it.
With it installed the phone would barely make it through the night, with it removed, I woke to 94% battery remaining. I have no idea what the hell its been doing when the phones been sat there idle, but I'm glad to be rid of it.

I'm on the look out for a Lumia 930. Where is the best place to look, ebay?

Thats the one I got coming tomorrow so Ill report back on quality etc there are various grades and colours available along with various locked/unlocks depending how much you wanna spend.
Grade A is supposed to be as new so im hoping I get a return that I can claim fitbit on.

Phone came today no original box or accessories (as expected) but phone is in mint condition. Looks like it hasnt been touched works perfectly. Comes in a small box with a usb cable and was shipped quickly. Also my handset let me register for the free FitBit Flex offer.
So it must have been an unwanted return or similar so I am very please even more so that I get the fitbit flex free too.

I had to turn off Dev Preview before it would appear as an update, I'll stick preview back on again once its done, its "Almost done..." at the minute.
I would have thought though that the Dev Preview would have given me something before now if an official was here?
