**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Arrgh. I can't decide.
You Note 4 owners, if you could have your Note 4 or the S6 right now, would you still go for the Note? I keep hovering over the buy button but I keep thinking that the S6 might be faster, better, longer supported.

Not been tempted by the 6 at all, the Note 4 is still one hell of a phone up there with the 6. The only thing that will tempt me away from it will be the Note 5.

Get a used Note 4, then chop it in for the Note 5?

Samsung Galaxy S6 vs Galaxy Note 4

Was away at the weekend and the note4 ended up running completely flat. Since I've charged it back up the battery life has been significantly better.. worth a try.

Rooted mine, and running Simplrom on it with some mods and xposed etc.
So good having a totally de-bloated phone again! :D

Has there been any way found to get around Knox? I'm using a stock rom at the moment as I don't want to get root or install a custom rom and lose my warranty cover.

Don't think there is yet. I'm in a similar boat but no chance am I risking losing warranty or Sky Go by rooting. The phone, for me, is fast enough as it is and does most things I ask of it but it would be handy to have root for some tasks.

What mods? Do you not miss S-Pen features and the camera? TW ain't great but I have always found myself wanting to go back after trying a non TW ROM.

Hey xibinim, It's a TW/Sammy based rom, so keeps the S-Pen and camera.
I've just deleted and frozen everything that I don't want in TB, and flashed a Lollipop Dark Theme on it which includes aosp status signal icons as well.

I did try a few CM12.1 based roms, and CM12.1 but they just didn't feel polished and the camera was very crashy and random.

So I'll be sticking to TW based roms for now.

I'm using only 6 Xposed modules including the GEL settings to change the Google Now launcher to use smaller icons, and customer icons etc.

I was using NOVA for a long, long time before this, but this is great.
