****The Official Note III Thread****

5S offsets that nicely then.

I just logged into Quidco and noticed something odd, they've paid me the £17 cashback for the Note 3 I ordered off Expansys way back in Sept even though I cancelled the pre-order. Seems they did indeed take payment initially but when I cancelled the payment got refunded back to the card and didn't update at Quidco.

Woo free money!

What's the cheapest 4g unlimited contract to go for that comes with this phone please?

This package from 3:

Ultimate Internet 500. - £34 p/m

You do have to pay £99 for the handset though, but a few including me have managed to haggle this price and get the handset free in store.

No 4G yet but it's just around the corner and a free upgrade for all three customers.

Thank you. I'll look into that

Right, I'm not keeping this phone. For £500, the mobile radio is frankly crap. My friend's knock-off Android phone gets better reception and it is £400 cheaper!

That's a shame, the Note 3 has the best reception out of all the phones I've had in the past few years (S2/S3/S4/Note 2/iPhone 5/iPhone 5s)

Does anyone use nofrills cpu on their note 3?
looking for settings for normal use and settings to boost emulators for max performance.

been reading around and no clearer on whats best.

anyone clued up on this?

Looks like v8 of SweetRom introduces the start of the bundled apps you probably don't want so must uninstall via Titanium as some are put on as system apps.

Think I'll stick with my customised v7 until the next big Android update.

I've just replaced the tip on the stylus as I noticed that there was too much friction on screen when using it. Never took notice before but the little bag of spare tips contains 5 in total, a generous kit so thumbs up to Samsung for that. Considering 1 tip has lasted me several months, 5 will certainly cover my ownership of the phone with a few spare left over for its next owner.
