****The Official Note III Thread****

I agree that it is pretty decent to include so many spare tips.....personally, haven't used mine enough to change yet, but nice to know I won't need to track down some random supplier!
On a related note (no pun intended :p) I recall reading somewhere in the manual that the tip can glow a colour depending on some scenario.....anyone know anything on this?

Glow in the dark?! I don't think the stylus has any power, just magnetics or some kind of passive connection although it does sound rather interesting!

This is the only reference to "glow" I could find in the manual.

Anyone received OTA or flashed their Note 3 to KitKat yet?
I am still waiting for mine on O2, should I wait for the OTA or

Oh that's the pointer (cursor) on the screen glow, the cursor will have a blue glow to it when you hover over contextual stuff in Samsung apps like buttons in S-Note/Acton memo or the Email app before showing a little toast of what's under that item (email preview, button text etc).

Not sure when the OTA will get to our shores, its gone kinda silent on the 4.4 rollout at the moment, most speculation is that they are halting it and fixing the 3rd party s-view case issue - 4.3 is more than good enough, although quite a few on xda report that 4.4 is smoother and better on the battery (how much more than 4.3 i dunno)

Heheh dont quote me on that one, just various things ive read and is speculation at best, as i cant find anything concrete from samsung but below are some of the ones ive found - but it would kind of explain the delay.

Samsung initially denied reports that the Android KitKat update was the cause of the problem stating that "A correlation between the Android version 4.4 and the supposed incompatibility of third-party accessories does not exist.” They also added that "The full functionality of our devices and accessories, however, can only be ensured with genuine Samsung components".

But they quickly changed their minds and announced that "We have currently identified a software compatibility issue with the Galaxy Note 3 update to Android 4.4 (KitKat) and select 3rd party accessories,” Samsung said. “A software update will be available shortly."

New OTA update for poland today, new build which is supposed to fix the SD card issue and the 3rd party S View case issue, not much more info than that apart from its not out in the UK on BTU yet.

Picked up a note 3 yesterday to replace my htc one. Loving it so far, the screen is impressive as is battery. I thought I wouldn't be able to get on with the size but that was unfounded. Touchwiz is still meh but otherwise I'm impressed.

Hi, wondering someone help me?, friend of mine got note 3 sm n9005 XEF french model?, which all the same?, works fine here. wanted know can we flash BTU UK firmware on it? would it be problem

I wonder, what are the chances of Magazine UX from the new Note tablets coming to the Note 3? It looks brilliant, far better than TouchWiz!

Coming from predominantly HTC phones of late, I can't say that I am a fan of Touchwiz really either.....still, I like my Note 3 in general, so will survive!

is the Note 3 getting towards EOL as some retailers say ontheir website or just popular ? as seems harder and harder to find stock -especially if you want one off contract ?
