****The Official Note III Thread****

I'm hoping they've relocated the position of the mic. Whenever I call someone with a Note II I can hear the background traffic noise/people talking in the same room as them, more than I can hear the person on the phone!
 
Exciting stuff. Mobile Cash Mate offering £245 for the Note II so I will send mine there and keep all accessories. Gonna probably get N3 on release providing it lives up to rumours.

Not bad recycle price considering I bought it for £460 :D
 
Looks like the fingerprint scanner will be featuring:

We are mere hours away from Samsung officially unveiling Galaxy Note III today in Berlin and to whet your appetite, here’s the latest tidbit. A Samsung employee working at the Samsung R&D claims the fingerprint sensor will make the cut in the new Galaxy Note III. This comes after a leaked list of APK files were published by @evleaks yesterday.

The fingerprint sensor will be placed at the back and will enable dual-user mode. It means when the real user opens the device, the phone will show his personal screen but when another user tries to unlock the device, he’ll be greeted with a guest mode. Fingerprint sensor will also pave way to use it securely with KNOX – Samsung’s enterprise ready solution and for secure mobile payments.

I think that's a brilliant feature.
 
Funny, I was just in town and asked at one of the shops if they had any details of it yet (thinking maybe they might have the inside track) Nope, but did say about that feature, and he wasn't sold on it, he has it on his laptop apparently.

Though to me it sounds like a good idea, esp with pesky kids that are always messin with my phone lol
 
Having it on a laptop is not the same as having it on a phone :p


I don't put any value in what phone or tech shop staff in the high street have to say.
