Paired smartwatch and phone with a touch of style... mrk when you ordering? :p

...just needs some bmw keys and a nice leather wallet for the circle to be complete!

I'm quite liking the idea of the watch only for me to access my music in a quicker manner.. pulling the Note2 out gets to be a chore after the 29th time even if you have mastered the 'Note2 flick' :D it's also more versatile than any inline controls.

Does anyone know if Note 2 needs the JB 4.3 update for the watch to work with it?

I CBA with buying the watch, besides, I like having something completely mechanical to tell the time and will continue to do so when analogue is a mystery to people :p

Note 3 will be ordered soon. I'll get the cases and other accessories in, maybe even a Smart Watch to review, will see if I have to send that back though as technically it's not a phone... we shall see ;)

I like the look of the new flip cases. very pro looking.

Problem with the preordering is they take the money up front -.-, wish it was like amazon

Is it me or is there a distinct lack of buzz surrounding this phone? I don't mean to say its warranted a mass of hysteria about it as it does feel like its been released for the sake of it, just seems like there's hardly any interest.

what makes you say that? been a lot of buzz.

Then again i feel the same about the iphone 5s, Not seen many people shouting about it like we have seen in previous generations.. I think people have calmed down?

Tbh we knew what was coming and we've seen most of it before. The real wow factor of a phone for me is to have a stunning design along with the tech specs, this design is just plain old Samsung.

It may be plane old samsung but there's not much they can so with current tech limitations.

10 years and we may see some wow factor phones.

Im impressed there is a 1080p 5.7" screen stuffed into the same size phone as my note 2!

Yes it's all good, but at the same time they could have pushed the design envelope and made a back like the ergonomic moto x and made the camera flush and stuck a slightly bigger battery.

At the end of the day it's nothing really exciting if your already familiar with the note series, that's not to say it won't be a great phablet.

Well it doesn't do much new, it's a slight improvement in all areas so it's understandable that there isn't much buzz. I think the Note 4 will be the one to cause a bit of a stir.

Pretty much what kona said, going by past releases with regards to the GS 2/note I and GS 3/note II and Samsung in general, you knew what to expect more or less.

It is more or less just a bigger GS 4 with a stylus & slightly different back and a slight boost in tech. specs just like the previous generations:p

I doubt that you will notice any difference in speed etc. as pretty much all top end android phones from the last year are roughly the same.

As to what Samsung could have done to really separate it from the gs 4 and some other phones, imo:

- stereo speakers and preferably on the front (am sure they could be implemented and not look a bit odd like with the HTC one), once you use the HTC one for videos etc. every other phone just sounds utterly crap and before people jump in saying who apart from chavs on public transport use loudspeakers...... plenty of people use them for a number of reasons i.e. watching youtube videos, playing games when at home sitting on the couch or in bed in the morning/night, showing friends videos etc. and no not everyone wants a tablet, especially when you have a note which is called a "phablet" for a reason...
- OIS like originally rumoured, makes such a big difference
- improved touchwiz overall
- improve the design overall and use a better material for the back
- take amazing features from moto etc. like the active notification system

i'm disappointed size wise. was hoping for 6.3" or thereabouts with a minimum bezel.

the 4k recording sounds nice though

depends on how you use your device i guess. my pockets would handle it fine and am used to 2 handed use.

the note 3 so far seems to fail in making me want to upgrade. maybe the note 4 will be bigger, better and a 4k display? :o

Same here.

£600 for a few percent upgrade from my Note II seems a bit extravagant. I like the look of the new Note 10.1 - may have to start a thread on that.

I think maybe the fact it isn't a 'phone' as such, quite a few won't register any interest because they aren't after a phablet?

Also after handling a note 2 and a mega, I personally think the mega is too big, this of course is just my opinion, if you can handle carrying that thing about in your trouser pocket then fair play :)
